Hi, and please be easy on me if this is a very profound question. I want to know if the L24-26-28 starter will install onto the L16-20 engine. I do not know which tranny is used (in the four-banger) :stupid:

Bear in mind that the 1978 and up L28 starters are gear reduction starters.

I had the Gear Reduction starter from an 81' ZX on my L24 and now on my L26. Works great. I think I also used an L24 starter on L20B back in 95'

I have a gear reduction on my LZ-23.I also have a high torque unit the local starter shop built for me waiting for the GR starter to carp the bed.

You might have a long wait. I put a junkyard GR starter in my 510 and drove it for 4 years until I sold it.
