Featured Replies

I have 72 240z that has a bad e31 exhaust manifold. Someone close by has a couple of manifolds avail. they are N 33, N36 and N48. will any of these work?

Prefer to stay with the E31 but have not found one

Thanks for the advise.

Mitchell,

When I google The Z Barn, I get a furniture store, Do you have the web site?

Coated headers would be a nice upgrade. If you do go with the manifold, strip out the air injection tubes at the very least.

Headers for a street car will accomplish nothing other than creating a "sucking sound" in your wallet.

I do want to keep the stock manifold. Any of your guys that have switched over to headers have an E31 manifold?

Does anyone know if the manifolds listed in the first post will fit?

You will need a square port manifold and not D shaped, ask the seller what he have.

Last October I replaced an E30 with an N33 exhaust manifold. Actually I replaced engines and left their respective manifolds attached.

The catch was that the manifold outlet of the N33 is about 1" farther rearward and 1-1/2" to 2" lower that the original E30. I had to have the downtube shortened as there was about 2" of ground clearance to the exhaust.
