Heater always blows warm

Featured Replies

Hi, just got a 77 280 and the only problem Iv'e found is the heater always blows warm air. When I set it to the cold side it does not change.

Thanks

Feel free to rub it in

Check to see that the wire from the shift control on the dash is connected to and actually moving mixture control valve (under/behind glove compartment)

heater control valves go bad too. Just yesterday I saw a 1977 in the junkyard and the heater control valve was not in the car and bypassed with straight heater hoses. that would give constant heat!

I've taken 2 or 3 out of 240Zs and cleaned a bunch of crap out of them and gotten them to work again. If that doesn't work, then replace.

Thanks everyone, just tore apart my interior and found a very small leak on passenger side. I'm going to replace the valve and possibly the core
