Hey guys, I just need some direction. I can turn my blinkers on, and they work fine, with no headlights. However with headlights on, my tach shows a weak, but solid, passenger side blinker on the tach, no affect on the outside of the car, just on the tach.

Is this a device put in for a bulb out, or is this likely the combo switch?

Thanks

Frankie

If the problem is the same with your Parking Lights on (no headlamps), then you may have a cross-connected bulb.

If on the other hand, it's ONLY when the Headlamps are on, then I would suspect the combination switch.

Sounds like a weak electrical system. Watch your Ammeter/volts meter as well. You may see it doing something similar. The headlights use more power than almost anything else in the car, so with all that power draw, the tach is showing the jump in usage from the Turn signal.

I might suggest a Headlight Upgrade Harness or upgrade to the 81' to 83' 280ZX alternator and ZXP adaptor.
