Well - it looks like a serious, clean drag car. Nothing much new - I have a Popular Hot Rodding article on file from May 1978 that shows one of the first installations of a Chevy rat motor in a Z. Most of the folks on this site may not care for this car but the folks over at HydridZ would probably like it. Since I had a 331ci SBC in my Z for about 5 years but have an L28 now, I can go either way !

I wonder how much extra weight a 454 adds? I know a SBC isn't that much heavier than an L series. Also, I don't like the fabricated hood. He could have just cut a big hole and reinforced the stock hood.

DAMN ! It looks nice, from what i can see on this cellphone. Engine may be heavy but long as the suspension is up to task i don't see the problem. What suspension would you need anyway for something like that?
