The decal in the Engine compartment for my1970 Z was painted over. Is the information on this decal hard stamped? Iwant to remove the paint but I dont want to destroy the details.

I can't say for sure without going and checking but I dont think it is stamped, more printed on.

Try using some thinned out turps on a small area first and see how it goes.

Not sure which decal you are referring to, but some of the underhood decals are available form Banzai Motorworks in MD. Check their web-site to see if they have the one you need, you can find a link to their site in the web-links.
