I have not followed the value of these 10th anniversary models, what do they typically sell for in todays market with some miles on them and not in mint condition like this one? Do they seldom come up for sale given the limited number that were manufactured? I am not a big fan of the S31's but this is one model I would definitely love to have.

I don't see the relevance of comparing 1980 dollars to 2008 dollars for this car. 2008 dollars buys you 2008 advances in technology , manufacturing processes , testing , etc etc. I know it's a comparison just for fun , but a cheap Kia represents leaps and bounds better bang for the buck in a straight fun comparison IMHO . Gee , that's the first time I used today's accepted abbreviation for a perfectly good phrase . :laugh:

Besides, how much would it cost to store and keep that car in less than pristine but still good condtion for 28+ years? No relevance at all, as you said, just fun.

I know this sounds insignificant but did anyone else notice there was no cigarette lighter? They are like socks and seem to disappear into the twilight zone. For that amount of money and being "new" you would think it would be there.
