I'm always looking for old Z's. Found a 1973 for sale in a small town nearby. The owner says its a 240z se. Was there such a Zcar and what was special about them? A google and this site search did not turn up anything. Thanks Jon

The simple answer is no. Some dealers did things like the infamous 'Z-Hawk' but there was no factory 'SE' that I've ever heard of. Isn't the SE designation a Chrysler thing?

Typically SE = Special Edition or Sport Edition...

Never heard of a Z with that...

Thanks, that's explains my failed searches. I had never heard of a SE 240z.

I think every auto company has used SE at some point. Ford and Nissan historically and currently use it.
