I am recovering my seats and just want to know what color to respray the black seat hardware ??? I want to clean it and sand some minor rust and repaint before I reassemble it !!!!! That is the black metal along both side of the seats. Is it a black semi gloss ???

You could use plain old satin black to achieve that dull shine.

However, you may want to use POR-15 (Black) as a base and then top it off with a satin black just before it's set. This will give you addtional protection in the long run from scratches etc. as well as rust.

I have used their system for restoring parts on my Z and I am very pleased with the results. I recommend purchasing Marine Clean and Metal Ready as well. They have a starter kit if you are doing a small area. A lot goes a long way.
