Well, I talked to my dad about it tonight and he said that he would pay for the new compressor in the link above if I bought and payed for a new a/c drier, so I'm going to have a local auto parts store order in a new one.

Still am a bit curious about why you need to purchase a new drier in order to maintain the warranty with most of these new compressors, thanks for any info.

Found a link that might be of some interest the other night while doing some research on the Hitachi SWP123 A/C compressor. (75 280Z) Place is located out in Texas and rebuilds the A/C compressors found on most of the Z series cars. They can also refurbish/rebuild the A/C hoses if you want them to do that as well...If you want to get REALLY spanky...they can chrome your A/C compressor for you if you're into the chrome look...
