Hey im Kevin Just saying hello to everyone

just picked up an 81 280z in fair condition from a buddy of mines. he was planning on rebuilding it but other things got his attention so it was just sitting in his garage for months. he said i could take it off his hands if i wanted. so here i am. im new to the forum and new to Z's so bare with me on things

You picked the right club to join. The guys here have always been great at helping me out when I ask questions, im pretty new at this too. Do a search in the forums and you will usually find the topics you want have already been addressed at one point. Check the gallery for other guys with your type of Z, and check out what they have done.

If you have pics, post them in your gallery, I'd like to see them.

A free Z? Wow. I've owned two Z's, and one was free because it was totaled. Good find. You'll like the club; very nice group of people.

we already began stripping the interior and gonna sand down the car. behind the seats theres some rust settling in so gotta take care of that and then sand down the exterior for a new paint job =)

Wow, a free Z! Well, I guess mine wasn't too bad, I paid a guy $300 for it to get it out of his yard. Kind of a similar story to yours, Kevin. The guy I bought it from had been planning to work on it, but instead it sat in his yard for 7 years until I came along...

Sounds like you've got a plan for working on your Z, keep us posted, and don't forget to post some pics when you get a chance!
