Posted July 7, 200519 yr comment_129787 Hi i was wondering how I could manage making a 240z door fit onto a 280z body... I just purchased a 1976 280z and the doors are rotted completely. I have a 72 parts car with really nice doors, is there any way i could make the doors fit onto the 280? I am missing the C locking device on the body side to the 240 doors, but is there anyway to rig up sumthin even since im missing that part? i dont have the car just yet and havent gotten a thurough look at the 280z, but i do kno the doors need replacing =) Maybe someone has done this before? Any help is greatly appreciated! I looked at previous threads and i know they arent an exact match. EDIT: damnit... posted this under the wrong topic.. my bad... was suppose to be under parts swapping Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16482-72-240-door-to-a-76-280z-door/ Share on other sites
July 7, 200519 yr comment_129791 They should fit-check the lock mechanisms-if they are the same-just bolt them on and you are done-if they are different, they can be modified to work. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16482-72-240-door-to-a-76-280z-door/#findComment-129791 Share on other sites

July 7, 200519 yr comment_129797 The door of any S30 will fit the opening, the mechanisms inside the doors vary; but, other than the different locks, they will not interfere! Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16482-72-240-door-to-a-76-280z-door/#findComment-129797 Share on other sites
