It used to be (at least it was a couple 2-3 years ago). I'm not sure if it still is held there.

Yes, the ARRC is the pseudo national championship of IT racing and is held at Road Atlanta in early November. There are usually at least five Z's running in ITS.

...I'm not close to williams speed, but have had fun in my ITS z......Being a underdog now is kinda fun.

Kids and work taking up tons of time presently, but I'll be back one day....

That's pretty much my story exactly. I've run ITS Z mostly in Solo I, I haven't had the level of preparation ($$$) for success road racing.

The last time I raced was three weeks before my first child was born--nearly 7 years ago. But I'll be back someday. I am building a new 240. I found a high-compression E88 head that John Williams told me he'd give me three E31's for if I could find one. Do you think I'm trading? No way! Even though J.W. is a super nice guy who has gone out of his way to help me in the past.

But there have been set-backs in my project. I'll post in a week or so about the latest set-back.

Wayne how did Summit Point go this weekend?

Anyone know how the first MARRS races at Summit Pt. & VIR went for the Z's?

No Z's showed up for the first race at Summit Point! I left my job (after 20 years with the company) just a few days before the race and was not able to make it.

At VIR, we were fourth in MARRS ITS both days, and a 300ZX was in the top 5 for both races in SARRC ITS.

I took my son to watch the Carolina Cup IT race at Charlotte yesterday. Met David Classic Z Car member dspillman who was crewing for the #23 260Z car of Mike Mackaman. David's Z isn't quite ready yet. Mike's car ran well. Also met the #72 car 240Z driver Rick and Steve the driver of the #57 240Z. There were a total of 4 Z cars running. I believe Mike & Steve finished in the top 5 of the ITS class. Had a great time and looking forward to seeing David's Z out there soon. All the Z guys helped each other out and were alot of fun to be around. It's pretty cool to see 30 + year old car running competitively with 5-10 year old cars. David great to finally meet you. Stay in touch. Looking forward to Road Atlanta in Nov.
