I've got a Nardi hub marked "N6" which I thought would fit the Z - unfortunately the opening for the steering shaft is too small...

There's plenty of hubs available for more modern Nissans, but does anyone know with which cars our 240Zs share steering shaft diameters/splines? 240SX? 300ZX?

If it wasn't clear before I don't care about the maker of the hub... It's got to be able to take a steering wheel with a Nardi bolt pattern though - that's the only requirement...

The Nardi / Personal Part number for 240Z - 260Z - 280Z is #4301001003. That adaptor is currently out of production from Nardi. However, there are some retailers who still have this hub, as evidenced by this auction on ebay:
