If I had to fathom a guess it would go like...

Hardtop and Softtop are broad descriptions that encompass all the different variations of them. IE: a '64 Shelby Cobra with a removable Hardtop could be a Roadster/coupe/hardtop. But with a soft top would be Roadster/convertible/softtop. I think...maybe... ow!

Mercedes is trying to bring back the def. of a coupe'. They have a 4 door CLS not yet availabe in the States... try this Link
