Posted November 5, 200420 yr comment_100798 I just purchased a lightened flywheel (used). It came out of a 240z. I have an 83 5 speed with 280z clutch parts (clutch collar, clutch slave cylinder, clutch fork) question is can I still use these parts with this flywheel?? Or do I have to buy new 240z clutch parts. I thought the flywheel was the same on the Z models through 83, except for the 2+2 versions. I seem to remeber that if you used the same year clutch with parts, you'd be fine. Is this correct?? November 5, 200420 yr comment_100800 The clutch parts match up with the trans. The flywheel shouldn't make any difference. In other words, with the combination you describe, you shouldn't have any problems.
