okay has my mechanic lost his mind or has anyone ever done this before?Replace the EFI with a 4 barrel carb? :alien:

It's been done but I've never heard anything good about this conversion. Are you having trouble with your fuel injection? If so, what kind of trouble?

well i didn't think i was <problem with fuel inj.> and the reason the car went to shop to begin with was the afm. and 280zgod <peach of a guy> sent me some information on the afm that really helped me to understand the darn thing anyway. truely i think the mechanic would just love to get his fingers all over my car, was even trying to talk me into dropping a v8 in it? i think i'll just keep to the afm being replaced! THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL INPUT.

Yeah, Well I Think I Can Handle Putting A New Afm In On My Own, So Gonna Have Him Put The Ol'girl Up On A Full Car Dolly And Bring Her Home!!!

Good plan... remove the car from the grips of the V8 guy. My guess is that he only understands Holleys. Not that there is anything wrong with that, if you only work on old Fords...
