Posted May 22, 200421 yr comment_82231 I need a set of rings to go with the Nissan Motorsport performance pistons (12010-P8612). So far I can't find them anywere, and obviously the pistons are useless without them, so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. May 24, 200420 yr comment_82550 Would they not be the same as stock 280 rings (allowing for overbore if needed of course)? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11838-280z-performance-rings/#findComment-82550 Share on other sites
May 24, 200420 yr Author comment_82584 No. I have a set of the stockers and the grooves are different sizes....I am thinking maybe later 280Zx (79-80) rings may work, but still not sure...... May 25, 200420 yr comment_82587 I looked up the piston numbers in my Nismo catalog, and the ring set is number 12033-P8610 Where to find them may be another story all together... You might try Top End Performance, Rebello, or one of the other engine builders as they may either have a supplier or a compatible set that will work with these pistons.
