Rip Rb26dett #1

Hi All,

My poor little RB26 died at an early age. :( Very sad about it, was entered to take the car to Drag Combat event on Saturday the 10th April and on Friday the day before it - the engines decides to develop a knock in the block.

I think it must have heard of all the love we were planning for it the next day and thought to itself that it would be a good way of getting out of it.

Oh well, didnt want to do it but looks like RB26 V2 will be back in the car - meaner and stronger (I hope!) - with forged pistons, rods, cams, o-ringed block and few other nice goodies.

Keep you all posted.

Take care,

Cuong

Wow, sorry to hear that. I know you put alot of work into it. I guess this means your gonna have to upgrade some more.

Good luck

Bummer. Better at home than on the track in front of everyone, no? Cuong or anybody, what does "RB26" stand for? Does it have some sort of translation like our L24, L26 or L28?

Vicky

RB26 was a twin cam straight six originally in the non-US Nissan Skyline sports Sedans. Very potent engines.

What a shame obviously wasn't meant to be. So don't stress as my driving instructor said to me when I failed my license maybe if you got it something bad could have happened so maybe someone is looking out for you.

Take care be patient and you will have your car together sooner than you may think.

Cuong Nguyen .......... damn shame. I've been waiting a long time to see your car run.

So what's on the plate for the rebuild?

Damn, sorry to hear about the RB26.. what are you going to do with the engine?

This thread is 3 months old... just a friendly note, it's considered bad netiquette to revive old threads. ;)
