  1. View Advert 1973 240Z Complete Auto Transmission Complete Automatic Transmission set up from a 1973 Datsun 240Z. Included with trans is dip stick, flex plate (flywheel) with spacers, shifter and linkage, torque converter, and bellhousing cover plates. I removed this from my 73 restoration that I installed manual trans. I don’t have a lot of history on this trans. I know it did work because I drove the car with it in it a few times. It did shift late but that may have been because it was low on fluid or some other minor problem. I didn’t spend any time troubleshooting it because I knew I was going to be switching it out. Local pick up only. I’d be willing to ship it but it would have to go by truck and I’m sure the shipping cost would be more than the asking price. I live in Northwest Indiana. Offered by: z3beemer Date 01/18/2025 Price $250 Category Parts for Sale

Hello all, Getting ready to take the plunge and swap the 4 speed trans and diff from an '83 280zx non-turbo to my '75 280z. From everything I've read this is the desirable swap for the stock 280z. Better than the late 70's 5 speed setup. Setup was removed from a running car with 100k+ miles. Differential is the R200 with 3.90 ratio. Any things I should watch out for with the swap? I plan on changing seals in the trans and diff before installation. Should I completely rebuild the trans while out of the car, eg syncros or gears? For the trans tear down is the process straight forward any unusual things to be careful with? I have rebuilt many engines, trans both manual and auto for GM's (and other domestics) but this will be my first import. Thanks!
  3. I have a 5 speed competition, close ratio, 5 speed in my 1976 280Z that was installed in 1976,77. I purchased car in 1979. The part #is 32010-N3200. It uses Servo type synchronizers. I'm looking for a synchros and friction pads, seals and bearings. I believe standard seals and bearings work. Any suggestions where I can locate these synchros and pads?
  4. I having a 3L L28 stroker built for for 280Z. It has a 5 speed that was installed by original owner almost from new. I still have the original 4 speed and driveshaft. I am looking for a a reliable shop to go through this trans prior to mating up with new engine. This trans has been rebuilt once back in the 1980's. Can anyone recommend a shop in western Michigan that can handle this project? I'm hoping Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids area.
