  1. I am looking for a rebuild kit for my 1972 Z car mechanical fuel pump. The original equipment model is a Kyosandenki. i am trying to keep the original unit and do not want to go to an electric pump. There are a number of replacement options but i want to rebuild this one. Have checked all the sources i can think of without success so far. Wondering if i'm on a fools errand. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I think most of us cringe when we see the newer “replacement parts” in the automotive aftermarket - for our original L24 fuel pumps. You know the one’s that look like tin cans! Well it seems that GMB has a pretty good looking replacement that has a more original appearance. Most of you may already know - they have sold a ton of them! Just in case you haven’t been shopping EBay….. Prices on EBay seem to be in the $31.00 to $34.00 range - $13.43 PLUS $17.81 Shipping for example. I ordered 3 and shipping charge was adjusted to $22.84 total. So $13.43+$7.62= $21.05. Others are price higher initially, but with lower Shipping costs.. so shop, shop.. Most likely worth picking up a spare while you can - that at least looks correct. 3. Hello Hope I am not missing something obvious here. I have a 71 240z (HLS3016707) that i am trying to remove the fuel pump and not sure what i am missing in trying to remove it. I have removed the main bolt on the bottom and the nuts from the two bolts coming out of the block. It is not moving at all. See attached photos. Have seen some other posts about having to remove some other adjacent items but i cannot see how anything else is holding it. Anyone have full removal instructions or pictures of what i need to do. Thanks for any help. Replacing it since I have oil running out of the side of the pump from the weep hole. Keith
