Do It In A Datsun
No but I did in a Triumph Spitfire. I was a young sailor in San Diego with little extra $$$ but with plenty of time. The Spitfire triumph came when I was very young and 80lbs lighter.

Direct fire ignition system by Ultra Nagai Electronics
That is the site I was looking for. I did a google search but it did not come up. I was thinking that you might know the website, I was thining of sending you a PM instead of starting this tread. I sent the link along to my friend at Nissan USA who owns the car I am working on. He will interpret the Kanji for me and get me the proper diagram. We should get it fired this weekend. Thanks so much.

Direct fire ignition system by Ultra Nagai Electronics
Does anyone here have any experience with Ultra direct ignition system that my friend sent me from Japan. It came off a L28 3.1. I two total systems and 3 modules, plus Ultra wires. The thing I does not have instructions, I plan to intall in a N42 3.1 with Mikuni 44s. If it works it will be very interesting. All the web research I have been doing on Ultra comes up saying it is for Jags. Not sure what I got here, but my friend is convinced it will work on the Z again. Any advice would be appreciated. Tried to get the system working yesterday but it would not get spark. Anyone ever work with this system? I saw a picture of the system in Lighting Vintage Auto 9 Mag. I was on a G-nose. Anyone with advice would help. Thanks in advance. Maybe Kats might know something about it?

Need a shop to look at my Z in L.A.
I think the car was stolen so I am not sure if he needs a shop.

How much do you think it will cost to do "rebuild" your engine and machine your head? Ballpark figure is about $1600 plus. I had a guy here in San Diego go a job for my friend here recently. He did a great job but it was not cheap.

What are these wheels worth?
I would sell them to club member Darbji for $100.00.

Red Sox in 4....that is a prediction or so should I say a hope, Padre fan who is still bitter about Trevor Hoffman being unable to hold the save.

So Cal Wildfires
My daughter goes to Cal Poly Pomona; do see any problems for them or are the fires that you saw far away from Pomona? I told my wife that she needs not to worry. Our place in San Diego is 15 blocks from the beach we are out of the fire range lots of suburbia around us.

Do It In A Datsun
Okay, I don't usually talk much about stuff like this but here it goes; back in 95 a couple months after I picked up my 78Z, I hooked up with this crazy little lady from local establishment. I took her out for drinks, she proceeded to get buzzed and started talking crazy, so I decided to take her back to my place which was located on NAS Miramar. While transitioning the freeway from Pacific Beach to Miramar she could not wait. She was all of about 4'11" or so. She was wearing a skirt which worked out well for us. She thought it would be a good idea to climb up top of me while I was driving on the 52 freeway at 70 mph, bopping up and down on my crouch. I was concentrating so hard on driving; I eclipsed my all time record of 10 seconds by 10 minutes. I had to open the window so she could hang out the window and I could see the road. It was a wild ride for sure. Many years later looking back at it, I can't believe I would ever do such a thing. I always said the term "Do it in a Datsun" was taken to a new level that night.

Mohamed. You are right....the right car will come your way. I think Craig's List San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Phoenix and New Mexico will be great places to search. My friend got a great Z from Craig's List LA. Keep search, your car will come.

1976 280Z Bob Sharp Racing GT-33
If you like the car, don't worry about it being in Michigan. The is the least of the worries. GT-33s don't show up everyday. Why does ebay not work for you? You also might be able to get the seller to end early.

1976 280Z Bob Sharp Racing GT-33
So your are serious about the car? That is good to hear. If you get it. I would love to escort the car to you as well. I had some real fun in your country as well as in Dubai. Maybe your should plan a trip sometime to go to the Motorsport Auto Show in late April. That is fantastic event and you could meet lots of people. One question about the GT-33, Can you get the interior work done in Bahrain?

Looking for a complete L24 or L28 Engine....
I have a VERY strong and fast L24 still in the car that I can still drive for sale here in San Diego. I am taking offers. It will be coming out for a 3.1 build. I have no need for it and the owner of the car said sell it. I might even give a discount to self pullers just like at Pick-ur-Part. My engine is fast and strong.

What do I do now? Or Help me!
East coast laws suck....I am so glad I got out of PA 24 years ago. Take Geezer and WingZ advice, I think they are right.

What do I do now? Or Help me!
Do you have a garage? What about the 6 month reprieve for a car cover? That sounds like a good deal for now. Then I would do is every weekend I would take the cover off, open the hood and make it look like I am working on it even if I am not, especially when the neighbor is having an open house trying to sell the house. Don't sell unless you just can't get the car done. In Cali we have what is called a Non-Op certificate. You pay a fee to the DMV saying that you plan to not operate your car on the roads for a time. The car can not be on the street BUT can be in your driveway. Does your state offer non-ops? If you truly want to do your project don't let some greedy neighbor cause you problems....besides he will be gone in 6 months.

70-72 Front Bumper part #s
Motorsport Auto sells them too. I got a set from them back in September, it was not much money either. I too retro fitted an earlier bumper to a 73. In order for it to fit tight to the body you are doing to have to drill new holes in the bracket. I believe it is like a 1/4 inch forward of the current holes. You will however like the fit and look of the earlier bumper vice the 73. I like the way mine looks now compared to original 73.

1976 280Z Bob Sharp Racing GT-33
I recommended it to Mohamed (BuDavid). He is looking for new Z for himself there in Bahrain. He could get this one, pay to have a few up grades to it, then ship it off to Bahrain. It might be right in his budget.

Please help!!!! Looking for a rear quarter
I saw a post the other day with a rusted out 72 picked up in PA with the NOS body panels. I think the guy who bought it and towed home lives in New York. Here is link to the story about the car. The NOS panels are worth trying to pry away from this guy: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126656

240Z to be on Car Crazy TV
Yeah it was....and it was real sweet. I had a friend in Japan who had two of those Eunos Cosmos, one was all tricked out and one was just like the one in the background of Stephen's picture. Looking at it brought back great memories. To Ron: Congrats on another honor for your fine Z. How was your weekend at the festival of speed in NAS North Island? I was there with the Z club early Sunday morning but had to get going by noon so I missed the finals. I saw the Z displayed there, it looked great as always.
