'70 Rust-Free Arizona Z Going Cheap!
Well I went ahead and "Asked the seller a question" or two :cheeky: about rust, interior pics and vin#. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he responds to my questions in his ad. If he emails me directly, I'll copy his response for everyone here.

Driving my Z 900miles....
If they aren't brand spankin new, you might want to stop by a parts store and get your alternator and battery checked out. Good luck.

'70 Rust-Free Arizona Z Going Cheap!
1) Someone would only need a flatbed if they didn't have an extra set of wheels to bring with them when they came to pick it up and yes shipping would be a problem for someone on the other side of the country but not a problem that couldn't be overcome if one was truly interested in this car. Maybe a Classic Zcar Club member who lives nearby (or even the seller) could slap on a set of cheap wheels and tires for an agreed opon price. 2) "Ask seller a question" would probably work in this case. :stupid:

I believe he means "Series One".

Will They Fit?
They'll fit only if you move your engine to the back of the car. :cheeky: On second thought....leave the engine where it is and then do a search here on bolt patterns and find yourself some different wheels.

Electric fan or new fan clutch/shroud for my 240z?
I'm in Houston and my 3 core had no problems and would probably be enough for your situation also. Before you go with the MSA unit, you might check with radiator shops in your area and see what they'll charge to add a row to yours..

Fairlady or My Fair Lady. Myth busted?

Electric fan or new fan clutch/shroud for my 240z?
Have you given any thought to possibly adding another core or two to your radiator? It may solve your problem and could save you money in the long run by having a professionally rebuilt radiator vs. a 30+ yr. old one.

JDM 4 Barrel Carb & Manifold
Thanks Alan, I read you LOUD and clear. Now I'm wondering about the E32 mark on the manifold. It is my understanding, at least here in the U.S., that parts with the "E" code (xxxxx-E4100, E31 etc.) were made for the 240Z. So my new question is was this manifold made for the S30 as some kind of "accessory/performance" part or were "E" parts made for other vehicles?

JDM 4 Barrel Carb & Manifold
Check out this set-up currently on Ebay. Did any JDM S30's ever come equipped with this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-L6-240Z-260Z-810-L24-L26-4-barrel-carb-manifold_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36474QQitemZ8064000945QQrdZ1

Float Needle & Seat
Yup, long goes on the rear carb.

Float Needle & Seat
I'm not saying that it can't be made to work. I do however think that when you spend your hard earned money for something, you shouldn't have to settle for anything less than what you expected to get. He shouldn't have to improvise unless the part he needed was no longer available.

Float Needle & Seat
The '72' float bowl lids had two different size float 'ears'. Why, I haven't a clue but possibly to correct a problem they discovered with the older SU's or maybe just to make them work a little better. Who knows. Anyway, you shouldn't have to bend the crap out of one of your floats just to make it work. I would either send the incorrect one back and get the right one or just use your old one if it's still good.

Spare tire hold down
If the top of the "T" screw is above the plane of the deck, you probably have the wheel facing the wrong way . Check and make sure the outside face of the wheel is facing down in the spare compartment.

Will #1 240Zs Be Worth This Much Someday?
Technically you and Alan are correct. However, I did begin my statement with "I believe" which means/implies that what follows is my opinion. In addition, I also wrapped the original thread title to show what my statement referred to and I had thought that everyone would have recognized that my statement was a paraphrase of the original thread title. Sorry to have confused some of y'all, I guess in the future when I paraphrase something, I will begin my statement with...I believe the intent of the original question was....!
