Strut bar????
I heard bad stories about some Zs having stiff suspension and crack body and sheetmetal torn... Is it true? I know the car I want to buy was equipped before with a strut bar in front, but this one was removed by the previous onwer.. Would it be a good idea to put it back again? How bad can be a stiff suspension on on a non rusted car like mine?

Yep. Mike, you rock! You are doing a (in french) superbe travail!! The site is well designed, lot of efforts put into it, it is convivial and has plenty of excellent ressources (compare to another Z site I won't name here...) I'll be happy to contribute via Paypal my modest contribution in Canadian $ !!!!

Oil pressure
Well said and a good advice, but I might use the car as a dayly driver this summer, so was my point for asking that. And yes, I usually check my oil level on my Sentra SE once a week, but I guess I will have to be more careful with my baby Z.

Questions on head?
Thank you gentlemen. As soon as the snow is gone, I will run a compression test on the engine. The guy who is sellingme the car told me it was not bad for the smoke... Got to see it for myself 1st.

Questions on head?
Here is my concern. My Z will need a valve seals job. I got 2 options in my head. 1. Is it better to replace the valve seals and check the timing chain at the same time. I may have the valves cleaned at the same time, I mean remove the carbon deposit on them right? 2. I may have a real deal on a used head from a 73 240 I think. Is it better to put a head with less mileage on my engine or what else? And BTW, what is the difference between a E87 and an E88 head? Thanks for your CONSEILS!!!!! What would you do?

Valve seals job...
Ok Royce. I did saw the car before Chritsmas, it is parked inside a nice heated garage. Car is flawlwess regarding the body, it was one of the best preserved Z from Ontario. It belonged to the president of the Z Club if Toronto. No rust, and there is still the small rubber seal in the fuel filler hatch! Interior is OK, a small crack in the top center of the dash. Car has uretahne bushings all over, steering rack as well, larger sway bar, Tokico and Eibac, plus a performance 2,5" exhaust line. Car was well maintained, and I can't wait anymore to hear the engine. Like the guy told me, between each gear change, if you follow the car, there is a small amount of blue smoke that comes out.... But thanks all of you for the nice tips, it"s appreciated , espeacilly from a newbie Z:sleep: Picture is available at this link: http://www.npclub.com/bb/showthread.php?threadid=845

Z 1972 Market Value?
Thanks Steve. The car I'm looking to buy is selling for 13 500$ CND (around 7 250$US). The car was damaged by vandalism before but was extremely well restored. Many panels were punched with a sledgehammer and windows broken as well. Car as Eibac srpings, urethane bushings, Tokico shocks, and 93 000 miles on it. Got a performance exhaust line also, no headers or mods made on the engine. Saw the car, felt in love with it, but afraid of paying too much. But the car has no rust what so ever on it.. a miracle in Montreal Canada... So the price is in consequence I guest.. I'll see this spring...
