some of you will recall that quite a few r32's and some r33's appeared on eBay usa last year. what happened is that the u.s. d.o.t. finally started cracking down on newer model skylines with faked paperwork so, military guys or whomever else smuggled a skyline into the country got a letter stating they either needed to export the car or crush it. of course, some chose to pass them off on some unwitting buyer my guess is that at least one propellor head won a skyline on eBay and probably thought he had quite the steal--only to find out it was illegal when he tried to register it, so then he complained to eBay, who in turn outlawed any skyline, young or old

the auction was deleted by eBay. their policymakers have got it into their little heads that all skylines are illegal in the usa :stupid:

i'll 2nd that emotion the skyline wagons have an inherent defect of proportions (aka short wheel base) the pinnacle of grotesque styling was acheived with the c110, but the c210 is a close runner up it wasn't until the r31 that the wagon had any semblence of decency the finest retro wagon's got to be the 230: resembles the detroit wagons of that era

scott's has some bits, but rare spares sells a complete kit

every swb (short wheel base) skyline c110 was either a GL or DX and was equipped with the deluxe rear leaf suspension :cross-eye gooossshhh! i want that over the mirror clock ...

the dr30 is great, but in california they need to be epa/c.a.r.b. certified, which can cost thousands. btw, that red car has been certified. if you're not in calif. then it don't matter to you of course the r32 gt-r is even greater, but those are even more difficult and costly to legalize in calif. a guy in san diego recently bought a junker r32 gt-r and had $40k usd into it by the time he got it certified, and it's bone stock and needs tons of work like engine/susp. mods, wheels, seats, not to mention a respray
