$10,000 for a Series2, not #s Matching?
Matching numbers is great - if you have them. For a non-concours car my personal feeling is that it doesn't really matter all that much. If you are looking for a car that you can drive and enjoy, this sounds like a great find to me.

Replacement speakers for stock radio?
Fits quite well, in fact.

Replacement speakers for stock radio?
The Kenwood 5.25" is so close to the same as the original that I used the factory mount to install mine. The actual size difference is negligible. I don't think anyone builds a true 5.125" these days.

Very Stiff Ride
So very true. I have ruined the ride on many cars over my three+ decades of car ownership. But since I don't track or auto-x my cars anymore, I have been staying much closer to stock these days. I get my handling improvements mostly with tires now, and leave suspensions mostly stock. The Z actually has more suspension mods than any of my current vehicles now, and the mods consist of KYB shocks and cut-down Euro Stage 1 springs. Pretty mild. But it works for my purposes.

Is my car a 240 or 260??
It's a 240Z. The 260Z VIN didn't start with H, it started with R.

- Very Stiff Ride
Rubber bushings instead of poly, stock springs and KYB strut inserts. All of the suspension changes you list are great for handling, but will make the ride harsher. Even the changes I list will have a firm ride, that's the nature of the car.- So... Whats your beer? ID's Checked at the door.
You can get Dead Guy in VA? Who knew! It's better on tap, though.I forgot one - Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, from a small brewery in Fort Bragg, CA. Great on tap, so-so in bottles.- Spook Lip Trim - What do You Think
Going all yellow this time, Randy? Or restoring the black accents?- Spook Lip Trim - What do You Think
From personal experience – chips at the the very edge of a spook are the last thing you'll need to worry about. The spook is subject to plenty of rock chips down there, and they don't all happen on the edge. I've got a couple of chips on mine, painted a year ago. The edge is still pristine. It's going to happen, be prepared to touch up or live with it.- So... Whats your beer? ID's Checked at the door.
When out for dinner, I'll order whatever is the darkest micro they have on tap. Around these parts that is frequently Deschutes Brewery's Black Butte Porter. Pretty good on tap, just OK in bottles. Here at home – I haven't had any commercial brew in the house since the beginning of 2001 when I started brewing my own. Almost exclusively variations on porters and stouts. I don't drink a lot, maybe 1 or two 5 gallon batches per year, these days. The picture of the pinstriper you are thinking of has NOTHING to do with my brew. He wouldn't like it, as he prefers the really pale stuff. A good micro-hefe or IPA is quite a ways on the wild side for the pinstriper.Gary himself has expressed a liking for my stuff, though...- brake pedal hard to push
Problem with the power assist. No vacuum, vacuum leak in the hose, or a failed power booster (master-vac).- Rear tail light panel refreshing
Ahh, but you CAN see the center panel, above the plate but under the license light.- Center caps (again)
I (as well as several others) have the Eagle caps on my Appliances. They fit fine.- Is this normal carb behavior?
FWIW, I have noticed this exact symptom on mine a while back, after I raised the float level a bit during some diagnosis. Dropping the float level back down corrected it.- Rear tail light panel refreshing
It's actually three separate pieces, both sides and the center with plate mounts. It's also not black, it should be a medium-dark gray, totally flat, no gloss. Lots of threads here on the proper color. It should be removed from the car to prep it properly for new paint.- Gland Nut for Mulholland Rear Strut Cartridges?
I know someone who might have a spare pair, I sold him 1 1/2 sets of Mullhollands a while back. Can't recall if there were any extra gland nuts in the lot or not. I'll shoot him an email.- A Couple of Desktop Images
There has been a dedicated spot for Wallpaper here on CZCC since 2003. It is called (appropriately enough) Wallpapers, and is in the Downloads section. Here is a direct link: Wallpapers As some noted, for best use, try to upload them in hi-res. Most computers can downsize wallpaper nicely, but stretching a small image to cover today's larger screens often gives less pleasing results.- wiper motor protection cover - color ?
Mine is black, no overspray on it.- Canby '09, June 13 & 14, who's coming?
I'll be driving up with another couple from here in Springfield (in a '77 Zzzap). Like last year, we plan to stop on the way at the Allann Bros. mothership in Albany, probably around 8:15. We could meet there...- Canby '09, June 13 & 14, who's coming?
Three weeks away...- Looking for help in locating the perfect 240Z
Well, let's see. What to look for... rust, overall condition, rust, originality, rust, matching numbers, rust... Did I mention rust? OK, past the rust issue, you need to give us a bit more info here. Are you looking for a project, or a ready to drive car? What are your plans for the car once it is ready to drive, a show car, weekend toy, daily driver? The things I would recommend will differ depending on those answers.- Installed my Hatch Window.
Guess I need to read more closely before posting. :stupid:- Installed my Hatch Window.
The glass pro who installed both my windshield and rear window after paint put the rubber on the glass, then installed the metal trim into the seals BEFORE installing the windows into the car.- Hi all.
