spare tire ?
Yeah, but assuming these aren't all trailer queens, would you really want 35+ year old rubber as a spare... Or is this just for show judging...

Zs-ondabrain makes a harness upgrade kit that you should use. I haven't used it myself (but will), but reviews are great. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20016

Who still has their '72 PLAYBOY mags?
Glad that I'm a hockey player...actually bumped in to her once after a game in the family & friends area at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit (while she was dating Federov). She was with a friend who was, brace yourself, much hotter...

Today is Last Day
Actually that wasn't the one... The actual story: "New York Yankees outfielder Dave Winfield was arrested on August 4, 1983 for killing a seagull with a baseball. Winfield had just finished his warmups in the 5th inning and threw a ball to the ballboy. The seagull was hit in the head and died. Some claimed that Winfield hit the bird on purpose, which prompted Yankees manager Billy Martin to quip, "They wouldn't say that if they'd seen the throws he'd been making all year. It's the first time he's hit the cutoff man." The charges were later dropped." A memorial is held every August 4th...Dave Winfield, that bastard...

I'm looking for a 'new' Z (year?)
Not sure on waiting... This is the time when a lot of people are looking at putting the vehicle away for the winter and prices are depressed. In the spring, demand for summer vehicles increases and prices on vehicles in decent working order will slide upwards. 1. Set your search criteria: - year(s)/model(s) - general condition/amount of work you are willing/able to do - willingness to ship 2. Set your budget 3. Just keep trolling the sites. There are some great deals to be had if you know specifically what you want (witness the link on California Z's). Cheers and good luck.

My advice would be to avoid Ebay (just too many bad things with Z cars on ebay...search the site). With any prospective Z car purchase, ensure the car is inspected (ask on the board, it's likely there is a member nearby to check it out...expect a small fee or free). As for this site, it doesn't seem to attract as many classified listings for some reason. Possibly because the hard core users here love their Z's and relatively few would offer them up for sale. Craigslist or Kijiji (in Canada) are places you might be able to pick something off at a relatively cheap price for the quality. You can also check www.Zcar.com . It is another decent Z car website (the tech forums are extensive, but not as nicely organized or as extensive as this site). It seems to attract more classifieds for some reason. Good hunting.

South Florida Z
Yeah, some on that club should be able to point you in the right direction... It's interesting how different perspectives are...buy a car in Florida and making it right entails getting your bumpers re-chromed...buy a car up north and making it right entails new floors, frame rails, doglegs, battery tray, cowl, rocker panels, doors and, oh yeah...re-chrome the bumpers... Welcome to the club

In my Z's mind, he's going to Carolina....
