  4. Re-plated.... I had every bracket bolt, nut and washer on mine plated plus hood hinges and and the tension rods done after I media blasted everything for $125.00. It really gives it the edge. It is worth it... and then some.
  5. Hmmmm....How do mean? Everything in my car is out. I have insulated and am just now starting to deal with the wiring and then the heater box and controls. So.... I have the dash still to be put back in. What are some of the challenges you ran into putting it back?
  6. Dave, Does it work for an early 74 260 Z ?
  7. Arne, Just let me know... I will be happy to do it.
  8. E, Thanks...alot. I just ordered it from Testors along with the thinner. Did you use the spray can for your tail lights?
  9. Arne, I am changing my gauge faces to (Ricer) white and I am also going to remove the green bulb covers and use colored bulbs. If you are interested... I am going to have those bulb covers. Provided I can get the d@#!& things out without breaking the little tabs off. Let me know if you want them. I would be happy to send them to you.
  10. Hey E, I also have my dash out refurbishing it. Sorry...but I have to ask. What are R/C cars? I would like to possibly consider using that paint and I don't know what the acronym R/C means.

He's obviously "ticklin' her fancy" :lick:
  12. Seriously... what two guys do have in mind? Super Man and The Incredible Hulk? Two regular worn out 50 year olds...No. Not just No...but Hell No. I know of two guys like that. They moved a L28 short block about 20 feet this week end and ahh... it was a bit of a strain to say the least. Three strong guys with it strapped to rails or a dolly of some sort....yes. IMO. Have fun. Don't hurt yourself, Arne.

The way to keep the rust from progressing is to remove it and properly seal the metal. The body filler needs to come off and then you can see what you have to work with and progress accordingly. The reality of it is ...there are no temporary fixes that will work.... short of storing it in a vacuum.
  14. Yeah... Vince Young or maybe Reggie Bush. Who knows? Super Bowl 41 !!! GO TEXANS!! Ya Think?? It could happen... Gee... and just think two more months til baseball season starts. GO STROS!!
  15. No... The Seahawks handed it over to the Steelers after the first quarter. Even after they did...the Seahawks still had control of their own fate. Not one of the more artistic Super Bowls ever played. Gee, I can't wait ...just 2 more months til Baseball season starts.

E, The ole' search mode produced this from Carl Beck and several other threads that touch some on the N33 Head. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=155130&highlight=N33+Head#post155130

Since you have all three sets switch'em around every four months... Seriously, I love the look and shape of a Z so much just about anything would look good. Even the original hub cap looks good to me. But, if I had to pick just one from the three you have chosen and since I am currently in a resto mod phase...I would go with the 280ZX wheels.

One key additional thing I did before welding was spray the areas in question with a weldable primer that I picked from the auto paint supply. I then basically followed the procedures described by Escanlon, beandip, and hls30.com.
  22. I seriously doubt it.
  23. There's a fool born every minute.:stupid:
