  1. Hi Guys I am also new to the club and have owned Z's and various other sports cars. I would also agree with John Coffey. If you're going to do mdoifications then do it right. I have an 88 Rx7 with a 93 Mustang V8 in it and swap was alot of work. After the car was runnning there were alot of other little things that needed attention, even with little things the dollars add up. A V8 swap done properly will be expensive even if you can do alot of the work yourself. An RB swap done properly is also gonna cost BIG dollars and be tones of work. After all if all you wanna do is kick a little honda arse you don't have to go WAY WAY out there. And remember that you should always go fast, safe and reliable, as this is your first car and daily driver. Once you get more driving (racing) experience then by all means go for the BIG HP. Thats just my 2 cents worth, no offence to anyone. Always drive safely and buck up, Alex G
  2. First things first. To lower compression you need to put in a thicker metal head gasket. Most turbo manufacturers will carry a selection of different head gaskets of various engines Hope this has been helpful. Alex
  3. When it comes to Big HP turbo is always the best way to go and if done right its reliable as well, an N/A tuned engine will not match a turbo car and reliability is always a factor. I would have to agree with Stephen. An RB swap would be good for both power and reliability if done properly. All in all BIG HP means big money and lets not forget alot of time and patience. Work out what your budget is and then tach on an extra 2G's to be on the safe side. Thats my 2 cents, hope its been helpful. Alex
  4. Hi Mull Here's my 2 cents. Add on pieces are fine. When you get into making hoods and doors and other important parts you must consider strength. I have alot of experience in Making fiberglass and carbon parts for Aircraft. I don't think a hood that weighs 1.5kg is going to be strong, what about the fenders and doors? A Carbon Fiber part is strong enough when built properly and weak if its built badly. Please don't sacrifice safety just to save a few extra pounds! Thats just my 2 cents
  5. Hi Guys L28 engine I was wondering how much it would cost to have the crank, flywheel, pistons, etc balanced? A rough estimate. How much would it help the revving of the engine? Any help would be appreciated Thanks, Alex
