Sounds fun. I've only raced a Grand-Am and an S10 Xtreme. Both ended up with a nice view of my tail lights. I was actually dissapointed that the Xtreme lost to me. Race truck

Can i do this? I heard most cars from the 70s + can run on this stuff without problems, but i wanted to be sure before i do it. Right now its about $.10 cheaper than normal gas so i thought i might try and save some $$ by using it. I didn't see anything in the manual about it.

Wow, you guys are pretty hard core. I could never park my Z for that long. I just could not live with my Buick Century for 4 months while the Datsun sits unused. My Z is on the road all year long with the exception of really bad snow or ice.

Still, not a bad looking car though. Most Z cars on the road look better than mine and this one sure does. He is asking too much though.

Glad to hear you got yours paid for. This girl backed into the wheel flair right behind the driver side door and put a nice dent in it. She decided to drive off as well. I got the tag # and everything, and even after getting insurance info, it doens't look like they are gonna pay. basicly, im screwed.

Thanks for the info guys, problem is i know very little about cars and don't have many of the right tools for removing a transmission. On a scale of 1-10 in car repair and knowledge, id give myself a 3. About how long would this take to do at home if i had some help? I guess you guys know enough to do this yourself, but if anyone knows how much a shop would charge (ballpark) that would also be great.

Okay, i guess my freeze plug(s) on the back of my engine have cracked or have holes. It has been going through antifreeze quickly and its been dripping from the bottom around the mounting plate. Has anyone ever had to have this fixed on their car? About how much may this end up costing me. Im afraid i don't know enough about this kind of thing to do it myself. Im guessing the transmission is going to have to come out, right? any help? im scared i may not have enough $$ to get this done.

I was out in the middle of nowhere on a 2 lane road at night and took my 280 up to 100MPH. I was scared and as soon as i hit 100 i started breaking. I just wanted to be able to tell people i could do it and that is the last time i will out on a highway i don't know. Even with a full moon and my brights on, That is probably the dumbest thing i have ever done and don't plan on doing it again any time soon.

Actually, i like this one simply because it makes me feel better about mine . Seriously though, does anyone know what kind of rear spoiler its got? I kinda like that. Or is that part of his "custom body"

Well, aside from the wheels, decals on the sides, tail lights, and that little rear valance, its not that bad.

No kidding, If you really dislike what i have posted that much, i can go find myself another board if i have offended some of you with a Z that has a V8 in it. Maybe someone like me just won't work here with a buch of "seasoned" Z owners. Though im not sure what it is that makes you so uptight about it since i know some of you have done V8 swaps yourself. If you no longer see this as a classic Z, then i am missing something. Had this been a 350Z or even a 300ZX i could see your point and i would have never posted it in the first place. If you people don't like to see it or read about this kind of thing, then what are you doing in this part of the board? This is in fact the modified Zcar area. Im not telling everyone to go out and do this to their car, im just showing you a car i thought looked cool. Personally i would not do this to my own Z because i know that it is not ment to be a drag car, I think that much work should be spent on a different kind of dragster, and i don't have to $$ to invest. If This is such a bad thing then you can have someone lock this or delete it. I would hate to have some people pissed about something as stupid as this.
