Block Paint
I am in the process of having Rebello Racing rebuild my 70 Z motor and they only offer black paint for the block. They will however paint it "nissan" blue if I provide the paint. Does anyone know anybody that sells it. Preferably online. Thanks Mark

Fuel Pump
I am in the process of adding tripple delorhtos to my 70 Z. For anyone that has the same set up, do you find it necessary to upgrade the fuel pump. MSA is toting their "premim electric fuel pump". Is this necessary or does it even help? Any comments would be appreciated. Mark

smog pump
Thanks Rolf. I think I am going to remove it anyway. I am going with a similar set that you have and I think it will give it a cleaner look if nothing else. Mark

Doehring Did you notice any improvement in power when you removed the pump and changed the damper? Mark

smog pump
I have a 1970 I am restoring and modifying. I was wondering about the smog pump. I am converting to tripple dellorhto carbs. Do I need the smog pump. Is there a way to bypass? Will it benefit to do so, or should I leave it alone. Any thoughts? Mark

I Give Up!
Well I checked for spark and each wire is arcing. Balast resistor should be ok 'cause it was replaced with the coil. I think this mechanic is going to hang himself from the proverbial "shade tree" UGH. MARK

I Give Up!
I wrote a couple of weeks ago about not being able to start my '70. First I thought it was plugs so i cleaned but still wouldnt start. Fuel was getting into the carbs 'cause the needle were wet when I pulled them out. So, I started on an adventure to figure out why the car wont start. So I replaced the following: Battery plugs wires cap/rotor/points coil. Still the car wouldnt start . Starter is turning fine. So I decided maybe its not getting enough fuel pumped in. So, next goes on a new fuel pump. SO NOW I GIVE UP! ANY OF YOU ZSPERTS (short for z experts) can give me some advice before I shoot the car I would greatly appreciate it.

Wont Start.
I have a 70z that for some reason decided to not start. At first I thought it was the battery. So, I replaced that but now the car cranks well but wont turn over. I pulled the plugs and cleaned them to make sure they wern't fowled up. Fuel is getting to the carbs 'cause when I pull the needles out they are wet. So, I cant figure why it wont crank over. It had been fine up until now. Help!

MSA Pix just posted
I just posted 52 pix from the MSA show on Sunday. I thought the turn out was great. A really good mix of restored and modified Z cars. Gave me some good ideas for my own 1970. I was a little disapointed in the fact that MSA didnt set up any booths to buy parts. They had parts on display but you had to line up against this tiny counter with 100 other folks and have your order ready. I can do that from my fax machine at home! I wish they had parts on display and available for purchase at the booths. I couldnt even buy a poster unless I want to wait an hour at the inside counter. I hope they change that next year. Anyway, enjoy the photos. There are some really nice 240's there. Mark
