  1. Did a Google search and found this info: NAPS-Z engine, imported Z18ET or a modified domestic Z20, Z22 or Z24. The NAPS-Z is "basicly" an L-series lower end with an 8-valve, 8 spark plug engine, SOHC crossflow cylinder head. The NAPS-Z engine was used on the early 80's 200sx, HL510 and truck so is cheap and widely available
  2. It isn't an engine that ever came in a USA market 240Z, that's for sure. I'm wondering if it came from a more modern Nissan car and was transplanted in the Roadster.
  3. If you have to drill holes in the chassis to mount th rear bar, be sure to use HUGE washers on the mounting bolts to spread the loads out. Without the washers, the bolts will tear right though the chassis metal.
  4. and I'll have to check out Progressive and Geico when my AAA ins. expires. Somebody has to be cheaper than they are! (I hope)
  5. Well, at least you can say that your fish is bigger than any I have caught!
  6. There probably is, but I bet she's holding out for a more successful fisherman.
  7. I think I posted everything they specified
  8. Got a quote of $82 a year,............................but...........(unfortunately for me)........... under the Do I qualify Tab, I found this: DO I QUALIFY? Due to our extremely low rates, only people with good driving records are eligible for our program. Generally, one or two minor violations or accidents are acceptable. We will not accept major violations such as a DUI, reckless driving, or excessive speed if they occurred within the last 3-6 years, depending on state requirements. All licensed household drivers must have a regular-use vehicle to use for daily driving. And each driver must also maintain regular-use insurance in his or her name. Collector vehicles must be stored in a fully-enclosed and locked garage when not in use. Vehicles insured on our program must be used on a limited basis consistent with the operation of something valuable, such as club functions, exhibitions, organized meets, tours, and limited pleasure driving. We do not offer an insurance product for the following types of vehicles: Inexpensive home-built kit cars that do not replicate a classic vehicle Cobra replicas (replicas of the 1963-1967 Shelby Cobra Roadster) Less than 25-year-old trucks and utility type vehicles Vehicles customized for "off-road" usage Pro-street vehicles — Vehicles modified exclusively for racing with features such as roll cages, wheelie castors, nitrous systems, parachutes, etc. are generally not eligible for our program. However, consideration may be given to "show-use only" vehicles. Less than 25-year-old luxury cars that have been "retired" to infrequent use Inexpensive 4 door sedans from the mid-1970s and newer Vehicles used exclusively for commercial/business purposes Regular-use vehicles driven on a daily basis Motorcycles that have been custom built from one-of-a-kind fabricated parts. Motorcycles that have been modified for increased performance and horsepower or have had structural changes done to the frame.
  9. #28 in your diagram does not look like the diagram of the VB part in my catalog.
  10. can you fax or email them the picture so that they can confirm if the pn# is the item you need?
  11. WOW! Thanks for the thread. My AAA policy is up at the end of June. I was going to try Geico and Progressive for quotes, but Hagerty just leaped to the top of the list!
  12. $90 a year?? Can you post the specific coverages and limits? Sounds too good to be true.

I never indicated that I "had" both sigs (I don't)................I just posted the attachments. They are different in that one has Japanese charecters and was acquired by standing inline for 90 minutes. The other was published in a book and was probably signed in a less hurried fashion, also image is oriented sideways in the attach.
  14. The ones I have seen are red.

Nuff said. I was/am afraid to place a $200 gamble. I found someone I trusted, and knew (from reccomendations of local repair shops and friends) would stand behind the product if needed. Also I knew they had been at the same location for 20 years. They weren'y going anywhere.
