mine was out and was placed on top. My 260 has a metal thing that screwed on top of the boot to make the seal. I'm not sure if the boot is pose to belike that cause in mine the hole boot is ontop the hole

you said the first one was damaged.... maybe the hinges might be damage also causing the misalignment

Umm wondering if the replacement hood had any repair on it. If you put oure old hood back on does it fit? Umm u've adjusted where the hood meets the hinge and where the hinge meet the car?

you could fiberglass over the exisiting plastic and mold it to what u want it to look. You could reinforce it with some mdf board.

Lets see u can do alot of things. You could cut out the area from a donor car and weld it in place after cutting the thing out. or simply repair the area with some steel and a welder. Switch to a optimal battery or somethign similar so it won't happen again. Also i think there a few threads on this already

87a shoudl always be connected to 30. When the relay activates 30 should connect with 87

i have rust thats cancerous that eat away at the firewall and battery area. If it's only surface rust i'd just sand blast it then coat with like por or rust bullet. U can poke around with a screw driver

Well if it's not to bad u can sand blast it and patch with por or rust bullet. then relocate the battery with an optima one
