and thats sounds a bit wrong considering allen steans( owner of the z car work shop in brisbane ) car whitch was immaculate #180 somthing i think this thing had a 3.1 litre stroker, hollinger gbox ,full coilover billstein coilover setup ,and nismo seats from the 70s and that went for $20000

a man by the name of peter cambell now ownes number #4 a very rich buisness man it has um what he called safari flares on the back now and it is in pieces he is planning to restore the car to pristine condition and well he told me it was a 69 any way i dont really care its still got the early body i just want some one to buy it and do it up to concours condition and sell it back to me for half the price:)

wont start right in the morning
for a starters do you have one carburetor or two because no twin crabs on zeds have electric chokes unless someone has put a single crab off a 260 c or somthing on there either way you have to get your self some 240 carbs you tell the differance buy looking at the top of the carb the 240 ones are a round bell shape and the 260 ones have a flat bit on top and are poo and besides this what the **** are you doing driving your zed b4 it has warmed up any way (slapps him in the back of the head bad zed nube bad)

my oversized tacho aint workin properly
hey guys i have just installed a auto meter monster tach in my 240 and i believe it is under reading but not by a constant amount at idle it is right but by about 2000 rpm its reading 1500 and by 8500 its only reading like 6500 has any one had this sort of problem before i have made sure the right wires are connected at the back and it is getting a solid 12 volts power and i am running a wire directly from the coil so if any one has any ideas would be much appreciated doug

Help... All Electric Gauges stopped working
yeah sounds like your tacho fuse has blown like half your gauges run off this one fuse you can check them in there just get a multi meter put the earth on the body some where and if you get 12 volts on one side and not the other it is blown note:the accesory you are tesing has to be on good luck man

R200 swap
yes all is true the 200 half shafts have a finer spline but i seriosly doubt you will break the r180 ones and origanal r180 half shaft will not fit an r200 because they way they bolt to the diff is different 240 r180 has a plug in style half shaft just like a p510 r160 while the r200 has a flange where the half shafts are bolted on.....hope that helps

oh and i fixed it too i fitted 350 pi king springs and adjustable konis and replaced every bush with uerathane $4500 later problem solvered

hey i had this exact probem with my 73 240 while your bushes and every thing are'not helping your problem here is your shocks causing it to jump sideways and bottom out all the time from no compression damping my zed would try to go side ways just going over exspansion joints on a bridge definetly the first thing you should look at

this is my 69 240z build number 160 very proud of my old girl i have fitted koni adjustables all round and 250 pi king springs and replaced all bushes with uerathane .i have also fitted a 3.9 diff in it and have nismo uni joints all through the drive train. planns are for an rb20 soon and a change of couler to the new ba falcon purple
