FS: '74 240K coupe (Vic).
I guess an old car just really did not suit him. He was not happy with this from the day he bought it - not necessarily a reflection on the car's condition though. Anyway, I wish him luck with the sale! Bargain for someone serious. Where's James?? Is he interested in selling any of the parts separately do you know?

The best looking 240z period...
Wow, thanks for sharing Prox - Austin's car is AMAZING. I have never seen it before. Guess I'll have to put that one on my list too!! What engine will it be running?

The best looking 240z period...
As far as I know the "stretched-tyre" look came from the drifting scene, where they wanted less traction. Less tyre = less traction, and it also disallows much sidewall movement, meaning the tyre's less likely to pop off. Note that this is not gospel, and I do not intend to present it as such! Just what I've come to believe. Anyway, I kinda like the car. It looks like a weird amalgamation of different styles and tastes though. And what's with the colour? Is it primer with a coat of clear?? There was a thread recently called "What's your favourite Z?" - perhaps it would have been more at home as a reply in there! Though, knowing some of these guys you may have been ripped to shreds for bringing up an old topic :tapemouth And finally, personally I can't say what my favourite 240Z (or any S30Z for that matter) is. There are so many different styles, that I'd have to pick a few! Don't think that one would be on the list, but that's just me

Help! Late/Early model 240K front bumper differences??
OK, done! Chopped some wood, clamped it on, used muscle. Not the most accurate way but it worked well and the bumper looks fantastic. Now, about those stainless steel trims...

Open Door when the Z is on a Jack?
I think he meant as in the better of the modern sports cars. That said, I bet you the torsional rigidity would be better in an MX-5 Miata!

Help! Late/Early model 240K front bumper differences??
Chris - at first it seems likely but the indicator unit fits very snugly and flush with the flat metal piece. Grinding wont work... Craig - when did you get a C110?? Post a picture if you can Thanks for having a look. I don't think there would be differences - mainly because on the new bumper, one side is bent more than the other. I'm going to try with two flat pieces of wood, clamps and leverage. Hope the chrome doesn't crack too badly

why original is best...
Absolutely, Gavin. We're lucky here in Australia really. We've got to have the cheapest valuation of the S30Z's. I wonder what you'd get for that car in America/Japan/England? Any of our International members want to have a guess? I just hope they dont go up in price too much. Want to be able to drive the bloody things too...

I know which one I'd rather have. (hint: not the crap one)

Help! Late/Early model 240K front bumper differences??
Hello! Well I've got a new front bumper for my car. The old one is still nice but it has a few scratches on it and paint etc. and the chrome is old. Anyway, my problem is getting the indicators into the new one. They just wont fit! I've attached a whole load of pictures for you to look at. Therre are two places where it looks like the indicator unit wont fit. Firstly the upper bit where it actually bolts on, the ANGLE here is wrong. The flat part here should lie flush with the top of the indicator unit. Secondly, the angle of the lower bevel part is different. On my old one it comes back at a reflex angle to run parallel with the angle of the top part. On this one it is a nicer, but acute angle - the same as on the sides. I'm not sure if this will cause a problem yet but it is a difference. This is a rechromed bumper. It is quite possible (and probable) that it's just been bent. but the lower part doesn't look like it could be bent like that... The other option is there are differences between the late and early model cars. Wouldn't think so though... I have two questions then. Firstly, can you please check out your bumper! You will be able to see the angle of the lower part without taking the bumper off, so don't worry about that. I'm just curious about this. Secondly, how can I bend the thing back to the right angle Sigh, I took the front of the car apart so quickly, I thought it was going to be way easier than the rear bumper.

I dont know about you Tom but I'll be happy if he gets that much! Being as rare as it is, and considering the increasing popularity of these cars lately, I could see someone paying it. If he's lucky

Hey Bill, you should know "European" bumpers have nothing to do with Europe really! Just like the tail lights... You need to go to Japan.

16 inch wheels for the '77 280Z...more cowbell
You could use maths to see how much error there is on the speedo... anyway, my question is what is "cowbell" and why would you want more of it??? :|

V8 Convertible
Mikey lives in America, so that may be hard!! Now you can see how hard his task is... makes us feel like we've got it easy being in Australia! Nevertheless, I have already checked Windscreens O'Brien for glass for Mikey - they said they only had the windscreens. Mikey, I've recently got a coupe parts car with all glass. You might get lucky! After I swap out the gearbox I'll be seeing if I can sell the car. If I can't, I'll be parting it out and you can have the glass.
