I'm on the GOld Coast in QLD, which is about 100km south from Brisbane. I'm not even sure I want a front spoiler :-/ but I'm interested in the different styles available...

I could probably find it out in my manual, but this way is so much more fun My car is a 71, and in the center the three lever things are like this: ------ AIR ------- HEAT VENT OFF ------ TEMP ----- HEAT ------ OFF --------DEF ------ ROOM ----- DEF Whereas BadDog's '73 interior looks like this: ------ AIR ------- OFF VENT ??? ------ TEMP ----- COLD ------ ??? --------DEF ------ DEF ----- FLO?? Minor changes I know, but I would like to know how my levers should be set *normally* ie when I dont want the demister (which, in my car, is hopeless) activated. So yeah, a pretty huge post with a lot of unecessary text, hehe

Couple of questions about the front spoilers for 240Zs What are the choices? How much are they? What's the deal with painting them? Thanks
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like they're 2 6x9s, thenat the very back there are two splits... Check this: http://www.240z.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1647 and: http://www.240z.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2036

That's the original Z mirror positions... if youwant to go Japanese Classic that's where you'd want them. However most westerners dont like them, and I would imagine that Nissan would sell Z's in America with the mirrors in the "normal" place. Is this true, anyone?

Mine have knobs also, but they're on the outside of the seats so perhaps somebody has swapped them around at one stage? They dont work either...
  15. Alfadog posted a post in a topic in Open Chit Chat
From the information on that there website, yes. How many of them are still around I dont know... but itd be nice to find out Im sure

Woah, I just looked at that site there and in fact it is not VIN HLS30-00501 up through HLS30-21001 - it's VIN *starting from* HS30-00501 and HLS30-21001. Thus, only 500 cars were made in RHD with the hatch vents, and "only" 21000 LHD cars... Interesting. I'd still like to know if anybody wit ha series 2 knows if they have the potential to install the hand throttle . . . .
  17. Alfadog posted a post in a topic in Open Chit Chat
Yeah yeah I've been through the changes a thousand times - I'm pretty sure that my car is series 2, but I'd still like to know if (and if so then why) the mechanical components for the hand throttle were still left in. Because my car is RHD, those VIn numbers are no use to me. Perhaps I should write to Nissan so all teh aussies can know whereabouts there cars stand in between the generation changes?
  18. Alfadog posted a post in a topic in Open Chit Chat
Yeah... It really is quite a different kind of car.

Your choke and throttle handles dont look quite like mine.. did they produce all of the center plastic bits in that shape? And if so, why the hell do I have a different looking one?!
  22. Alfadog posted a post in a topic in Introductions
Man! Very very nice, and for 2700, well, argh its just not enough for such a fine machine... I have to ask though, why is there no front bumper or grille? Accident???
  23. Alfadog posted a post in a topic in Open Chit Chat
I think the 280ZX 2+2 looks better... no, make that... looks not as bad as the 2 seater model, and I can't remember how the shape differs on the Z31 300ZX. With the Z32 300ZX you can hardly tell.

hehe Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Alfa comes from Alfa Romeo, yes. Growing up both of my parents always had Alfas... now neither of them do but thats life eh?

Probably means it was just repainted at some stage... There are hardly any Z's up here near Brisbane either, but I guess there's probably more than in Perth Sydney is the city to go to... they're everywhere down there I'll be waiting to see pics of it after you chop of teh square bits!
