Woah thanks a bunch ! Those pictures are great, although I dont think I will be positioning the speakers on the doors like that... I've looked and there are strange wooden boards covering up the areas in front of the doors on the inside - could this have been where the speakers once were?

Pricing a '71 240z
Woah hey woah its like my car all over again ! She looks pristine, absolutely marvellous. I wont tell you what I think it would be worth, as I live in Australia and the prices for Z cars are quite different.

Pricing a '71 240z
Yeah you really do need to see the car before you can say how much it might be worth ! $12,900 USD? Geeee that's a fair bit... in Australia the most you'd pay for one is about 8000 or 9000 USD... Well at least from what I've seen...

Pictures would be wonderful I'm not too keen on cutting up the doors... I'd much rather mount them somewhere else in the front if possible ... Tricky..

Yeah I was thinking about something just under the dash, but there's hardly any room in the driver's side! Anybody got time to get some pictures to help explain ?

I'm looking to find the right setup for speakers in my car, as currently it has none... 2ManyZs and Daniel both said that speaker panels are the way to go, so I'm probably going to have to do that, but whereabouts do you have yours and what can be done about putting speakers in the front?

just a couple of niggles...
thanks a heap guys The more I inspect the car the more little things I find missing... turns out about half the screws for the interior are missing

just a couple of niggles...
I just bought a silver 240Z and I've got a couple of little things that need fixing up and I'm not too sure about it ... 1) Does anyone know what type of screws are used to hold the center console between the driver and passenger seats down? The screws were taken out when I got it and I'm not sure what size to put back in :-/ 2) Has anyone put new speakers into their cars? How easy is it? What size can you afford to put in? (my car doesn't have any speakers atm ) 3) Did the original 240Z seats have those little ventilation (?) holes down the bottom of the backrest? 4) My driver side door can't be closed very easily... is this easily fixable? 5) The bootlid doesn't align properly with the quarter panels of the car... I would imagine it's a common problem, but how do you fix it?

top less in canada
Awesome! She looks like a real beauty, but I'm sure being in Canada means it's only a Summer car hehe Have you got a roof for her? Do you think you could get some more close up pictures - I'm particularly interested in how the rear 1/4 has turned out ... I'm sure the little hump over the wheel would look fantastic! It's just a pity Datsun didn't make any real ones

Auto to Manual
I'm interested in a very nice looking blue 260Z 2+2 but the only problem is that it's an auto... Does anybody know how much it'd cost, and what's involved in swapping the transmission over from auto to manual? Thanks
