True Friend
Are you tired of all those sissy "friendship" poems that always sound good but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a series of promises that really speaks of true friendship: 1. When you are sad - I will help get you drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad. 2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you. 3. When you smile - I will know you finally got laid. 4. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get. 5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and to quit whining. 6. When you are confused - I will use little words. 7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want what you have. 8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy arse. This is my oath. I pledge it till the end. Why, you may ask. Because you are my friend. Send this to 10 of your closest friends, then get depressed because you can only think of two and one of them isn't speaking to you right now anyway. Remember: A good friend will help you move A really good friend will help you move a body Let me know if I ever need to bring a shovel Vicky P.S. Don't really send this to anybody, it's not a chain e-mail, just a joke. I hate chain e-mail and would never start that mess here.

I went 0-112mph in 1.76 seconds tonight!!
I love Old Town. I'd rather go there than Disney, Epcot, MGM, Universal Studios or any of those tourist traps. I've seen that ride at Daytona Speedways Annual Turkey Rod Run Car Show. Old Town has a great car show every weekend. Friday nites are for 73 to present (no showroom stock, yee haw) and Saturday nite is for 72 and older. Massive amounts of fine rides, great live bands, beer, food, shops and a small canival for the kids. Old Town will even open the venue for certain car clubs. Would like to get all the Z car clubs of Fla to go some time. I saw an all Bricklin car show there one time. Remember those god awful cars. Sorry for the ramble. $30 a ride seems kind of pricey but I'd do it once, twice, ah what the hell. I also love the go carts they have there. Scott got thrown off for driving a little to reckless, poor tourists Vicky

any z licence plate ideas?
 What!!!!??? A custom or vanity plate costs THAT much. What's the justification from your DMV on that. Here in Florida there is no difference between a random plate or a vanity plate. It just takes awhile to get it. Vicky

Datsun Alloy Rim
Those are "Zweet" Stephen! They'd look great on your 78. Isn't that how it always goes when you stumble upon a cherry set of rims in a junkyard, there are only 3 or 2, never four perfect ones. Good luck in your search. Vicky

B pillar "240Z" badge removal
Thanks for the answer Mike. We seem to get the famous Z exhaust smell when we roll down the windows. What would cause that when the windows down? The vapor tank in the back? You'd think that with the windows up you'd get gased out but it's only with the windows down. Could there be some kind of reaction or air pressure difference between a possible leak in the vapor tank and the air comming inside from the rolled down window? This is in the 77 as the 72 doesn't have that "buldge" on the right rear inner panel. Matter of fact the 72 never has any type of exhaust smell in the cabin Vicky

any z licence plate ideas?
Scott wanted to get a plate that has "NO V8 OK". He really got tired of people telling him he should have put a 350 in there. Plate ideas for the Z car are endless. Vicky

B pillar "240Z" badge removal
Can't get the picture link to open from 240znz's post. My questions is on my 72 240Z and the 77 280Z the pillar seems to have what looks like a hole behind the badge emblem. Is this functional and/or the replacement for the vents on the hatch of the 70 240Z? I've seen a few rare autos that have a vent in a simular area but it actually is to force air to the rear brakes to keep the heat down. On the Z, is it for air circulation in the cabin? These are things that I think of when I'm polishing the cars, so I thought I'd ask Vicky

Calling all Z cars! Need your vote!
I voted for your Z........of course. I told them that if a new car wins then they should give the trophy (or whatever) to the dealership. Your Z is hands down the "best of the rest". Vicky

What are my odds?
This will make a few folks mad but I'm going to say it anyway. These guys that boast about all the HP and quick 1/4 mile times with NOS really make me laugh. IMO NOS is FAKE hp! Build the engine without it then we'll talk. What ever happened to raw horsepower? NOS may be nice to have at times like that just to shut the guy up, but honestly any beefed up V8 owner that wants to challenge a Z is admitting that they know the Z can be intimidating. Sorry if I made any NOS believers angry but this is just my view. Vicky

Owners, don't let your babies grow up to be planters
That shot of the left front wheel cover..........are there 4 of them and are they worth saving? You know what's funny is the rubber around the rear hatch area looks good, but you know it's got to be trashed Vicky

It's Alive!
It's so good to have everyone back. I checked everyday. I purused other "Z" related sites but just couldn't get involved. You never really know how much you miss something until you don't have it for a while. Vicky

Ol' Yeller
Yes, 16" rims are the next purchase for the red Z. Then we'll put the draglites on the 240Z for non-concours shows. (I'm keeping the stock rims and hubcaps) Thanks Ben for the kind words. I know how you love stock Z's

Modified 9/70 for sale
Do people STILL fall for that scam anymore? Geez Louise, it's so obvious that it's a rip off. Time for a new, more innovative scam, don't you think. Vicky

All the Kings Horses and All the Kings Men
A police officer sent this photo to me. If you have a weak stomach, then don't look at this. It's a picture of a suicide jumper taken shortly after he landed. It shows him with his insides now on the outside. You can see the look of horror on the faces of the bystanders http://home.att.net/~songs2/Jumper.jpg Vicky

Embarrassing Question
Very Cool. Thanks. I was getting pen and paper ready to do manual figures but that link saved me from massive amounts of calculations. Vicky

Embarrassing Question
I'm trying to figure out the compression and or hp in the red Z. I know the cylinders measured 215 each. The crank is stock, but he changed the pistons, cam and did a 40 over bore. Smokemup.com has the calculation tables. I just need to know what the stock crank stroke is in a 1977 280Z then I guess. Anybody? Vicky
-
Embarrassing Question
Isn't a "stroker" motor when one takes the rods from a L24 and puts them into the L28? Shortens the stroke right? Vicky
-
Embarrassing Question
Please don't laugh but I must ask this question. OK here goes. When you modify the internals of an engine, does it change the bore and stroke? If it does, how would one go about finding out the new figures. Vicky

Wanted! 1970 240Z in Good to Great Condition
A 8.5 out of a 10 sounds like a pretty nice car. I don't think I could survive my husband restoring another Z. He truely enjoyed it but the pain of writing all those checks nearly killed meLOL I'd much rather buy a car that's done but then it's done to someone elses tastes he says. Post some pics of this 8.5 Z. Welcome to the club:classic: Vicky

Gas for your Z?
I run Premium Unleaded in both Z's, the 72 240Z and the 77 280Z. They run fine. Octane is 93 to 95 here in my area. Vicky

Cool shot. You need to black out your wiper arms to match the rest of your blacked out chrome. Nice car

Would it be a crime...
It IS a crime to turn a classic Z car into a "ghetto blaster"LOL It's your Z so you can do whatever you like. TV screens, Disco balls, strobe lights, neon, ear drum destroying thumping bassROFL . In my opinion, put a nice mild system in the Z so you can truely enjoy the only real sound that matters............your engine! Good Luck with whatever route you choose:classic: Vicky
