vinyl top?
When I think of a vinyl top, I pictue the 1977 Ford T-Bird. A Z with a vinyl top, half or whole, is like a Z with power windows............It just ain't right! Vicky

RIP Indian Larry
Never understood why we must wear our seat belts but bikers can go without a helmet. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Plus they can run open exhaust and we must have mufflers. That last sentence was a little extreme but still some of those bikes are LOUD as hell. RIP Indian Larry  Vicky

"Style" question
For bare bones looks, I think the "Spook" is the way to go on the 240Z. If you aren't going to radically modify the car, then this front spoiler looks classy. I don't have any pictures but I'm sure another member could provide a photo. Vicky

Charley's Comming
Saturday we'll spend the morning boarding up the windows........again. I'm ready to move to Arizona. That's a relatively safe state no? Poor kinfish, I think he's in Jupiter Fla right on the central east coast. Take care Florida members Vicky

Just bought a factory restored 72 240Z!
Beautiful car, however I don't see any stickers in the quarter glass. Maybe the previous owner took them off. The radio looks after-market and what's that red band on the shifter? Still looks to be a nice Z. Vicky

240Z in movies
Funny, when I'm watching a movie or TV show from the 70's, I find myself loosing track of the show just to spot a Z car. I yell for my husband, "Scott come here, I just saw a Z". Then we sit there for the next hour or so trying to see the Z again. :cheeky: Vicky

JGTC Racing
I've just recently started to see a few programs dedicated to this type of Japanese racing called "JGTC". I heard that this Japanese racing will be making it's US debut at the California Speedway on December 18th & 19th of this year. Along with other auto manufacturers, the big three are Nissan with the 350Z, Toyota with the Supra and Honda with their top of the line race car, don't know the name, NRX (?). Anyway, I know we don't dicuss the 350Z here but from what I been watching that's the car to beat. Anyone know more about this type to Japanese racing that's soon to come to America. I'm very interested and would love to know more. Vicky

Bench Testing Wiper Motor
What would be the cause of the wipers remaining up on the windshield when you turn them off? This is in a 77 280Z. Is it a simple fix? Vicky

Clean one on e-bay
Like injecting cancer into a body that already has cancer cells present. My father-in-laws' original 72 240Z had the little Zbart sticker on the window. If memory serves me right, it was a pictire of a Knights Helmet. Seventies were a blurr :stupid: Vicky

Clean one on e-bay
Did they put Zbart in the engine bay of cars? I thought Zbart was an undercoating. Also, wasn't it determined that Zbart added to the deterioration of metal. That's a very nice Z. Vicky

Just bought a factory restored 72 240Z!
Hey Michael, 1) They ARE Nissan "Authorized" vehicles (Factory IS the wrong word) 2) I meant to say specifications but probably should't have put "much better" in front of that word, rather "NISSAN specifications" would have been better, my bad, sorry. 3) No apology necessary, I didn't feel insulted. I've been called a "rice burner" before....now that hurt Friends now Vicky

Just bought a factory restored 72 240Z!
And to think that this thread was started by some gentleman who's so proud and excited to have purchased a "Vintage Z" I suppose we could all debate about the term "Vintage" as all of our Z's are technically a vintage vehicle, no? Running for cover now................... Vicky

Was I being a "Arrogant American" Sure didn't mean to be, sorry if you took it that way. Hey wasn't that a movie "The Arrogant American", no it was the "The Ugly American". I hope I'm neither Vicky

Just bought a factory restored 72 240Z!
Gosh, what was I thinking I'm not going to get into a "war of the words" over these cars. Thanks ChrisA for understanding what I meant. I have no scanner so that's out. This particular checklist was on a website and available for download awhile back. I will try and find it so others can see the process and detail. Vicky
