Konig Rewinds black rings?
I will take a stab at this. I have 14x7 Konig Rewinds on my car. Datsun Zs are lug-centric, not hub-centric. You don't need centering rings on the hub. I would double check with the business you bought the wheels from.

for you frame and roll cage builders
Good stuff! I wasn't using my pipemaster to it's full advantage.

Help me ID these wheel/rims?
The center bore on the Celica wheels is too small for the front hub. I had mine machined out or you could use a spacer with longer studs. I ended up getting Konig wheels that I thought looked better.

Here is a note from the current caretaker of the car. When I get the full history I will post it on my IMSA website and in this thread too. "The BSR Sam Posey car is the replacement car for the original Bob Sharp IMSA GTU championship car that was totaled by Bob in early 1976. The Camel GT car was built by BSR under contract from RJ Reynolds Co.. The Camel GT car was converted to look like the Posey car. I restored the Camel GT car to proper livery for Adam (Carolla) about two years ago. I currently take care of the Posey car and it is in race ready condition. I will put something together for you to post with input from the current owner of the Posey car Allan Robbins."

A photo by Paul Woodbury and what he said about it. "This is the Camel GT pace car in 1986 at Road Atlanta. I was attending the SCCA Runoffs and walked around the back of a maintenance building and there it was. It was sitting in the red clay without any wheels. A sad sight to see for sure." It was restored and painted in BSR colors for vintage racing and recently restored to the pace car livery and is now owned by Adam Carolla.

I talked to James Garner on a movie set and told him how Grand Prix changed my life. My love for film and cars were born during a large screen viewing at the original Century theaters. He seemed to like that. We also talked about Bob Bondurant and I shared my story of spending a day with him doing a shoot at Sears Point. I saw a documentary on how the producer to this day regrets having James Garner and not Steve Mcqueen in this role. For me Mr. Garner nailed it.

Fuel Pumping Out of the Tank Fill Point
Make sure your gas cap is cranked tight all of the way. I had gas spilling out in corners at an autocross years ago. ( I thought I had tightened the cap but it still had a bit more to go.)

FP national autocross champion, Andy Craig. I watched him autocross at several events including the time he hopped into the fastest BP Corvette in the nation and went quicker than it's owner. From the April 1989 Auto-X magazine.

Executive BRE Build- You gotta see this
I've done something similar on another car. A simple rollbar for the orange one is planned. Come to think of it, Jon Mortensen buit one like Mr. Ira's but then added a box underneath. Greg's build is so clean and well finished. I bet Pete Brock would approve of it.

A beautiful build! I want to steal the main hoop mounting idea for my autocross Z. I hope you don't mind. That's the first one I've seen done that way.

Newest addition to the garage.
It's so fun to see your cars and watch them go from near perfect to sublime. I had to laugh about your auto to manual trans conversion when you mentioned how difficult large hands can be when working under the dash and the pedal box. Try 6'4" and 300lbs! But it got done thanks to Arne's article on how to convert. Your's is another beautiful car in the right hands, great job.
