hi, Up for sale is my 240z. I just replaced the carbs( dual webber conversion) and I have done a lot to the interior and such. This incudes new E-brake cable new carpets all around( 300 $ order from victoria british), repaired the floors and window rubber. the car has not been on the road for about 2 years, but i plan on putting it on the road this summer if i cant sell it. College is coming up and I need the money. As for paint, the clear coat is coming off soo its goin to need a re paint in the distant future. the color is the datsun brown. email me for pics. what ever u do...dont use marvel mystry oil..i used that and it started smoking...porin oil through the outtake//good luck

hi, i have been workin on this for i while and im still puzzled im just about to give up.... help plz.. well i have just put on the duel webber carbs and the choke lines dont reach..also..one of the carbs is a auto choke and the other is manual..did they have kits to change over???umm yea.. the vaccum line that arent being used..theres soo many of them pluss on the manafold/..plus there the water line underneath where the old carbs were...can i jus cork it...both sides...and how would i do it? anyone that has done the webber conversion on a 73 240z plz email me ... rudds67@yahoo.com thanks for your help, Steve Long live the Z

hi.. im putting on a set of webbers on my 73 " 240z.... old ones went bad.. what do i do with all the extra the vacume lines and vent lines. that are still there...there seems to be a main water line underneath the carbs..my cannon intakes have no unders piping to link the hose with the other side... theres also a ton of other hoses.. thanks,, steve Long live the Z

hi,, i i wrote a post earlier about parts for the dual webber conversion..i have all the parts but my only problem is what to do with all the old hoses and hookups that went from a the engine to the Su's and visversa ....it looks like theres hoses that run through the carbs and off to the other side..do u cap those or link them together,,, also what about all the link up ports along the intake manual. hey, yea i dont blame ya..theres nothing like the sound.. u said u will be getten rid of your old engine..how much do u want for it..i might need it..mine is smokin cuz i used mysreal oil.( lower the vistssity of it and now its going through the valve seals,,,im in the middle of flushin it out but if that doesnt work..i wil lbe in need of a engine... thanks, steve Long live the ZROFL

hey if u want power ... they make a v8 conversion for the z... it takes about 2 weeks ...but you cant beat it..no mater what u do..turbo or not..you will alway have more power from jus a stock v8 ,.. yea its cheatin but well worth it... steve Long live the z...

hey..i have a 73 240z.. the year with the bad carbs.... i ahave a pair of webbers and idont know if i have all the parts ..i got them off of ebay.. the linkage is there... the long part with the 3 legs and theres a lot of loose parts,,,there is the cannon adapters and the n33 manafolds ,,,is there anything else u need..what do d ou do about all the hose that arnt bein used and all the old hook ups for thne SU's ,,,,even from the manafold... is there a site that tells about how to hook them up? thanks, steve Long live the Z

hey, its now smoking pretty bad after i addes some mistre oil..in the enging.. i pulled the plugs and there all covered with oil..then theres oil coming out of the exahous.. flange gasket...what show i do? some one said that is lowered the viscasity of the oil now the oil is going through the valve seals...what should ido from here..flush out the oil...then what..will i need a vavle job..? hi, i didnt add alot at all. maybe a 1/4 bottle... juz what was left. the engine was working fine .. my dad said that all it would do is make it better.. now it smokes all the time .. as u reve it up it smokes even more.. i got under the engine and theres oil leaking from an exahoust flang that leeds down to the muffler,, theres not soupose to be oil in there in the first place...my dad said that it could be the oil seals in the cam area.. at least its OHC .. that will make it alot easier.. as for compression and other stuff.. i havent got to to it yet,,, im 17 years old in 12th grade and im playing varsity soccer with double sessions a day...thanks, steve Long live the Z

hi, i put some mystrye oil in the crank case and some gas treatment in.. now it is smoking ... the color of the smoke is white.. so its the gas right..? as i rev it up>> it smokes out a ton and some comes from the engine conpartment... also its leakin oil from some where... i jacked it up and it was driping from the exhouast pipe connector that runs in to the header... ithink is driping from some where on to that.... my dad said its not B/C of what i put in it.... but idk.....#@#$? steve

hi. theres a locking key switch under my ashtray on my 73 240z... what is it used ofr.. i replaced the parkin brake and i saw that the wires are cut that go to it.. thx, steve

thxs for all the help.... but i got them out by drilling through the top frame rail. it was the only way it would work. i drilled through then i used a screwdriver and a hammer to nock it out... steve :dead:

I have goten almost all of the old parking brake cable off my 73' 240z and i finally got the propellershaft off too.. The part where i am stuck is the connectors that hold the parking brake cable to the car. there are 4 of them. 2 are next to both rear drums then theres 2 more up inside the tunnel area where the cable gets latched on by the y piece connector. I got the first 2 off next to the wheels but I can get the last 2 inside the tunnel. How do you do it? Is there a special way or tool that you have to use? I got the first 2 out with a screwdriver and a hammer. I cant use that up inside the tunnel.. any ideas would greatly help... I have a week to get this car on the road. thanks for your time . steve Report

hi, I paided 1200$ for my z. its a 73 240z . ya it has rust and a little bondo but is runs good. and let me tell you , it is really fast.. good luck steve

hi. I just fixed my fused box on my 73' 240z but the head lights are still out.. the blinkers and the flashers still work.. the box had a melt down so i fixed it with that moldible tube epoxy. did i do anything wrong? thanks, steve
