Howdy all, I am the 2nd owner of a '71 20. The original owner was fanatic about this beauty and religiously used lead additive when running un- fuel. Is it necessary? The car will be living in Massachusetts for a while and I can purchase 94 octane at the corner sunoco. Will the higher octane solve the problem of no lead? I'm not sure I understand purpose of the lead additive. The silver bullet is originaly from Cali, then Az and has no emission control type equip.
