Yes, I was just making sure you knew it was comming right back at you! I am afraid-no very afraid-of what you must have in your garage-"Automatic weapons"...yikes Will
  11. No, the gear reduction takes care of the beef! From memory I think it is about 4lbs lighter-but that is not measured, if I get the time, I will pull it back off, and picture and weigh it against the other two(I have a couple of used ones for cores) Will

My first thought was a Jag V12, but so many get tossed for a V8, I though it might do better with a Cadillack v16 or a BMW V12, the Ferrari is way out of the price range-($24k badly needing a rebuild) then the concept Nissan option took over... Will

Carl! Don't go getting the operation(or two) on our account ! I am sure that the other half of your garage was not amassed for a man shooting blanks-though on a Calipornia weekend, blanks could be a good thing! Will
  14. Carl, The smallest one fits many of the 80s Datsun Pickups, and it is the one I usually use, I recently got one from Autozone($60, after the core) I'll see if I can't find the actual part number over the next several days. Will

No, either a pair of L28ETs(for continuation in the Lseries engines), or a pair of current turbocharged Nissan V6s, mated end to end and sharing a common camshaft-a nissan hybrid V12! Will

The salvage yard for glass, and Lowes and Home Depot for film faced lexan/acrylic, Just use a fine toothed metal cutting blade on a jigsaw, and let the blade cut, then sand the edges smooth with 250 grit sand paper, drill the holes, mount, and peel the film off. Will

We really appreciate both the Magazine(even the 350Z coverage), and the invitation. My garage suffers from a similar problem, too many S30 parts, too little space! Uhhuh...bigger staples on the horizon?? I am a diehard S30 fan, and I have been dissapointed only once-I wish my 240 had that record! Will

Nice! Another view, the Concept should be 12 inches or more wider than the original, square (or close) track. Will

Making a silk purse out of a sows ear is always a great makeover for an article! Especially when it involves an early S30! Will
  21. There are 4 differences that I know of. I will try to find an 1)The drive gear is not on the same shaft as the motor, it is jogged to one side. 2) the Motor is physically smaller-gearing gives it more torque than the standard starter. 3) The gear reduction starter uses less current 4) The gear reduction starter is lighter One side note, there are atleast three versions of the gear reduction starter that will fit, and some of them are not smaller, lower current or lighter... Here are the beck arney pictures of both, I will see if I can get a set side by side in the next week. Will

I always thought the "German Vette" was interesting! The rotating assembly could be made to look very much like a Z with painted headlight covers whenm the lights were in the "off" position, and like a Z with clear covers in the "on" position-only the transition activity would give it away. Will

What about making the headlights rotate over like the Opel GTs, they look finished on or off-just make sure they don't get stuck in transition! Will
