  1. Mom, What, the Koala Brothers are a serious problem in your neck of the woods ? It is easy to see how they could severely alter and echo system. In this poll, just list your cars as what they are in your country relative to how it was first delivered to the Dealer for sale. Just group the 2+2s with the coupes, and post about the differences. Carl, I thought you were hermitting in the garage! Group any non series one S30 of the 240Z variety as a Series two and post you Pinto lover! Enrique, I meant for any changes other than replacing the consumables (those parts/fluids that are scheduled through time, mileage, or wear, for replacement either in the OEM manuals of by the part manufacturer) to go in the custom areas for this poll, I will add the optimized selection next go-round. I do see the difference. Will
  2. Come on MOM! It was a mistake, All I left of was a pair of parentheses and an "S30" between them. It's not like I credited Goertz with designing the Z or called a ZX a Z, or brought the cane toad to Australia ! I mean hey, in another thread I did credit Australia with giving the world the Koala Brothers  !!! Will
  3. Leave the stock radio, add an amp to plug in your Ipod, and a couple of speakers-great music when you want it, stock situation when you don't Will

Mike, Yes, Drove up late Thursday night, towed it back Friday Morning. I went right through town(75) both ways. I just did a quick turn-round trip-had to pick up the boy from daycare Thursday afternoon, and wait for Momma to get home to head to Atlanta. I had to pick up the youngster again Friday afternoon-what a sight that was for the daycare crowd! Next time I will plan with more time-I would love to see your car! Will
  5. Mike, I have no acces to an "edit" button that will work on the Poll! Will
  6. I am sure TIR can do good repairs, and I am sure TIR can sell good, even great, parts. I just do not believe TIR understands Customer Service, or the words "Original", and "Restored". We had a very heated thread(cracked bones everywhere) a while back that was mirrored on several sites. The skinny Readers Digest Version is: TIR sold a 240Z described as "all original" that was not for a price that was. Elsewhere the in the exchange TIR said that it had been partially "restored". It had not; it had been repaired. What I mean by this is that it had a drive train from a later Z. "Restored" means put back as "original", meaning his description proved he did not understand either term. It looks intentionally deceptive to me when a "Professional" shop can't come up with an accurate description of a car they repired to sell. It looks even worse when they are caught in the situation, and claim ignorance. That is what my warning was about. I have no first hand knowledge of this situation other than I did look at the original ebay ad, photos of the car as delivered, and the email exchange between the buyer and the seller. The facts of the situation led me to believe TIR might be capable of doing good work and selling good parts, but they choose not to describe accurately, and they do not value customer service when the responsability for a problem is absolutely seated in the misrepresented and confusing description they wrote. To quote a good friend on mine quoting someone else, "Buyer Beware." Will PS, Lets keep this thread on track-if someone wants to flame, shame or tame me, use PM, not this thread.

Mike, Yep, that one came home with me! Very friendly member! He has lots of Zs, lots of parts, and a very nice place to work. Will
  8. Yes Vicky, It is based on the original Ferrari 250GTO, but everything under the skin is still Z-albeit the engine is from an 82ZXT. WHen I finish it, it may be in a different catagory, but for now, the difference is only skin deep.

  10. Bone stock at the country of delivery from Nissan to a dealership for resale. Alan, that should cover you! I did try to edit the poll, even Pmed Mike-I don't believe I can fix it, but I will promise to be more aware of my terms for those members who are not of the USA-My appologies! Will PS, I see Zrush got my spot for the Scarab!
  11. HS30-H, vote as 2 series one 240Zs and post because they are special! I accidentally left the (S30) off when i typed the poll. Will
  12. Why not Bill, have you given it terminal "partscaritus"? If you are actively working(at least some progress toward that end within two weeks) on making it streetable, it is a project car. Will
  13. Good answer! Will
  14. The bushings-probably not(unless thay are any other color than black)-the radio-is a highly visable change-though easily reversable-it isn't bone stock. Will
  15. What Z-cars do you have(counting works in progress, but not counting parts cars)? Please post if you have more than one of each type, and post about Nissan special cars(anniversary editions, ZXR, ZZZap, Shiro...) For the Purposes of this poll, Bone stock means the only aftermarket parts will be items intended to be consumeable-fluids, bushings, hoses, all metal parts will be original or rebuilt factory (there is that damn word again) unmodified parts made specificly for the model car in question. I have a ton of parts cars, some of which may one day become viable projects, but for now are stabilized for storage but not actively being worked on. I have 2 series 2 240Zs, a 1977 280Z Alpha one GTO rebody, and a 1982 280ZX GL with T-tops all of which are either in progress or ready for a trip! Will

  18. Yikes! when I ordered the full face dashcover for my '73, MSA sent a cover for a '72. it was cheeper to keep it and order another than it was to pay shipping back-so I have an extra-hope you aren't in the same boat. But Since you have painted it-you may be. Will
  19. Thanks Mike-that is EXACTLY why I was asking! Thanks Zul8r--sorry Zulayter Will
  20. Look at the galleries by ZRUSH, ED, Mike, MikeW, Kats, ar any other member who considers their Zcar finished(and even a few that Don't). Among your fellow club members there quite a few prize winners... Will
  21. MikeW, What year is the issue? Will
  22. Put me in these loops! Have truck, trailer, tools and a flexible schedule-I don't mind pulling parts for informants-or club members-might have to get help with gas at 11 mpg with the trailer empty and 9 with a doorless shell on it... I faxed and phoned the guy with the parts business that was closing in Cali about $1500 worth of parts and after eleven phone calls, he dissappeared. Will

Or take off both hoses inside the engine compartment and loop the nipples together-no heat inside, I drove my last Z for years like that-Savannah, does not get that cold that often... Will
