Lots of misinformation in the ad, I don't think the seller is being evasive, I think he wants to sell the car with minimal involvement and put everything he knew(or was told) in the ad. The guy is a musician, and has admitted spending the last 35 years playing with his organ-give the poor dateless guy a breakROFL! Will

I've got one too, in excellent shape, but Bill is closer... Will
  6. If they are sticking there is a reason... Could be as simple as sticky oil, or as complex as what ever caused a piston to smack a valve in the first place...I had a 280ZX I rescued that hadn't been run in years-seriously sticky oil, the pads were poping out like pop corn! I replaced the oil with a seriously detergent variety and added a detergent additive directly to the vlaves, and poof the problem dissappeared, in 100 miles I changed the oil to my normal variety and replacement schedule, and the problem hasn't come back in 35K! If they are still raw aluminum... Place them open side down, Spray on your favorite Etching mag cleaner Scrub with a brush if they are really bad off Spray again and let sit 10 minutes or so Rinse, rinse and rinse some more. when dry, spray with clear, or have annodized clear-if you don't coat them, the aluminum will corrode extreemly fast as the mag claeaner has removed anything that could have protected the aluminum WIll

Mckrack, The most serious lie Nissan has told that I know of is that the 240Z and the 350z came from the same heritage. They promised the world the spirit of the 240Z was back in form of the 350z, while the 350z is exciting to drive, it has no spirit or resemblance relationship to the 240Z. I won't say I won't buy a Nissan at some point, but, I will be in the market for a MiniVan within the next 90 days, and based on preliminary research, that $35Kish will probably go to Toyota or Honda. I will say it is dificult for me to believe anything from an entity that has lied to me and the rest of the world, and that would make a new nissan sale to me something which would be generated from independant research and not on any corporate message. On the lighter side, I'm not sure which cheeks your tongue was in, but in Rons picture it could be both, and explain the taste... Ron, you crack me up! It only took one Ron this time, and it was all YOU! Will

Mckrack, Slow down, take a deep breath, and remember that every person in a country is no more responsible for something its leadership does(or chooses not to do) than I am for Bill Clinton choosing to purger himself, his not going to jail, and the shame he brought to the Office of The President of the United States through his conscious actions. Stephen, That 280ZX toolbox handle just makes it! Will
  14. No clue on the proper name, but I have found similar vents at upholstery supply places, but they weren't close enough, so I have been cutting the vents out of early Zs when the upholstery has been bad, they normally need a rechrome, but at least they will be original...They simply crimp in... Will
  15. ...and! Please tell me you have had time to check it out! Will
  16. From personal experience, You will make far more much faster selling parts that you will make selling all or nothing because you will have a greater number of people willing to try to buy your parts. Finish the project, and sell it or enjoy it, there is a beautiful turbo car project in similar circumstance that has been for sale for well over a year because the seller hasn't figured out that the individual parts are worth more than the entire collection. Too many people do not have the time, space or resources to pick up an entire project, but almost everyone can have a delivery van drop a box... Will
  17. Hotel reservations made, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th nights! Will
  18. I'll be headed that way after dropping the boyz at daycare Friday morning(around 8:30AMish), and got the OK from my version of she who must be obeyed to layabout until Sunday! BTW, I am headed to the farm today, so hopefully the hood support clip will be making the journey with me! Will
  19. I have a 280ZXGL that needs a tune up, some bushings replaced, and an AC swap, but I need every available second for to get the 240Z ready for Daytona-I'm waaay behind...It will be there though, I can sleep after the show! Chris, Outstanding! It'll be great to see Vicky again too-I promise her, no pictures (or comments leading to mental pictures) of Walter Mathau snail trails!:stupid: I am planning on leaving Savannah on Friday after having lunch with my wife (rolling out no later than 2pm). I'll bring a few things you might find interesting. Equally cool in this is I won't be giving up time working on my 240Z to come, I was to have control (hehehe...yeah, right!) of the boyz for the days in question, but my sister(a 240Z fan but not fanatic) offered to keep the boys when I mentioned the situation on phone conversation within her earshot. She is the undisputed queen of evesdropping and poking her nose where it has no business! Anyway, back in '87 I gave her a '73 240Z I had recently restored when she ran her previous car into the ground-in college, she still remembered how great the car was, and how I came to see her every three months or so to take care of it(readers digest version). Amazingly enough 20 years later, she wants to take this opportunity to say thank you in a Z way! You have to know my sister to fully understand my suprise... Will
  20. Who is going to this? I am working on clearing time to attend-but, once again, I will be in a Volvo-sigh! Hopefully it will be the last out of town Z event I attend in the Volvo. I am working on coming in Friday and leaving after the show on Saturday- and probably stay at the suggested hotel. Will
  21. If you are going to add, adding a spook looks like it belongs... Will
  22. I would want a '72 or 73 because if I could have only one, it would be a when every the mood struck driver, and '73 had the most safety equipment, and several convenient things(backlit heater Control Panel, backlit Hazzard switch, ect, and updating a few things(carbs, radio, dizzy, etc), really wouldn't affect the value as much as they would affect the enjoyment... Will

You probably have a small vacuum leak, just enough to bleed down when the car is off, power brakes don't work with out vacuum. Will
  24. hls30.com posted a post in a topic in Wheels & Brakes
Have you 1) bled the master Cyl before bleeding at the wheels. 2) Verify the Master Vac operation(check the vacuum going into it(Pump the brake pedal and see if the idle changes when you do), and that the diaphram isn't leaking) Will
  25. Mike, I lumped all of the works and third party competition cars into those with racing history because I have a maximum of 15 available discriptors-sorry for my confusion... I also made it so you could pick more than one to hopefully get the high points of your selection in the poll. Yours would be: "NON USA", "RACING HISTORY" and the year of your choice...
