  1. Do you know what the "adapter sort of part" is?

😁 This is how things are taken out of context. 😁
  3. My favorite British Racing Green was on the Triumph TR6.
  4. The part you refer to without the screw hole is actually part of the stock USA linkage. There is another part on the USA linkage that has the screw to adjust the throttle deceleration opener. On my car I've removed the Control Valve and Servo Diaphragm in the image in post #43 of this thread by @siteunseen which leaves the throttle opener bar with screw to flop around, red arrow in photo. It looks like this bar may be removable it the linkage is disassembled.
  5. Does someone have a picture of the carburetor linkage on a Euro or other non-USA 240Z? Is that piece of the linkage not there?
  6. The screw will do nothing without the other components. I would just leave it zip tied.
  7. Since the #6 Diaphragm (and #3 control valve) has been removed on your car the #13 screw does nothing. The zip tie is just to keep the bar the #6 diaphragm and #13 screw attach to from flopping around since it no longer is used to slightly hold the throttle open during deceleration.
  8. The Bumperettes (vertical "boots") were stock on the '73. The bars on the top of the rear bumper were an option, not stock.

When I did mine I used LED's that matched the color of the lenses they were going under.
  10. Just a couple of comments on this. When the dealership put an electric pump in my 73 they put a fuel pressure regulator in the line between the front fuel filter and the mech fuel pump (which was left in). The fuel rail still had the restrictor at the end of the fuel rail back to the tank. Four years ago (2017) in my 71 I removed the mech pump, did the low pressure K&N pump from MSA back at the tank and have no regulator other than the restrictor at the end of the fuel rail back to the tank. It has been completely trouble free. I would consider a different low pressure pump that's quiet, the K&N does make some noise.

Loved both the @Captain Obvious drive and the @madkaw drive videos! The exhaust note on both cars is great.

I replaced my 71 seats with seats from a 77 so I could have the seats recline and flip forward to access the tool bins on the floor behind the seats. Had to swap the rails from the bottom of the seats so they would mount. The floor mount of the 240z's is different than the 280Z's. Wasn't a big deal. And while I was at it I did leather seat covers and new foam. I also think the springs instead of the straps for the seat bottom support is a nice update too. 18. Congrats on the new baby! Your folks must be thrilled too. They probably bribe you for shed space. Have to bring the grandkids when you work on the car.

This American icon/hero passed away yesterday at the age of 97. I don't care that he spelled my name wrong.

Sorry, but I don't. I am quite pleased with it though. You can hear it, but it's not too loud.

At least all that I see in that picture are wearing masks. They must not be paying attention to their fearless leader Trump. ðŸĪŠ
  25. Now days the 4 on the floor is also a theft deterrent. Not that many youngsters know how to drive them. 😁 Our youngest is in his mid 40's so we're now looking at grandkids that are coming up on driving age, oldest is 13 and goes down to the youngest of 8. These kids really have no interest in cars other than a way for mom, dad and grandparents to take them somewhere. The 8 and 11 year old think it's cool to ride in the bed of grandma's truck in the parade at one of the local car shows, but that's it. By the time they're grown into their 20's and 30's I think they'll have an app where they summon a self driving car to take them wherever and about anything they buy will be over the airwaves and delivered so shopping as it has been when we grew up will no longer exist. Most people will not own or drive cars and it will probably require a special permit to drive your own vehicle. Our niece in Germany is in her 30's and has never owned a car. Europe is way ahead of the USA on public transportation, but they also really don't have the distances we do. When she's been over here visiting my wife and I talked about going to St George, UT from our home in Layton, UT for the winter and our niece asked how far it was to St George. Her dad said "It's about a Germany south from here". This was somewhat of a revelation to her on how big geographically the USA is compared to Europe.
