i just gad my stereo stolen last night. i just put it in a couple of days ago. brand new. never see that again. i have had so many stolen. as soon as you have something nice someone steals it.

i have a 71 240 and i have a 5 speed that i want to put in. do i have to remove the exhaust to get it out? can i squeese it by? i have a leak in my header that i dont want to fix because i am changing motors in the winter. if i have to take it off i will have to get a whole new system that i wont need in a few months. am i stuck with the 4 spd until then?

i went for a ride in a 73 240z with a skyline motor in it. i seen it at the world of wheels show here in town. the guy has just got it going and i went by his place to get his 5 speed. he asjed if i wanted to go for a spin, and i said hell ya! wow is it fast. 343 horses at the wheel. with those twin turbos making all the noise, it was scaring everyone we raced by. now i can hardly wait till my 280zx turbo swap is done. if all goes well next summer.

well i know that i am late, but here goes. i live in winnipeg manitoba canada. i have a 71 240z, and a 83 turbozx, that i will use for switching motors. i install ceramic tile and i am now making enough money to be able to put money into a car that i have loved for a long time.

does it have a rad? and can you ship it?

well i finally got all the springs in. thanks to everyone for their help. it rides great now. now i just got to work on the running lights. there is a small leak in the rad too. anyone got a spare?

so i was putting the spring back together, but i ran into a problem. the top spring seat has a bushing that is disintegrated. do i need that? do i have to get a new seat or can i just get a bushing?

how would i get the shock off. it looks like it is connected to the shaft and that is connected to the hub?

so the flange didnt come out but i got the spring out. the new one is a lot taller than the old one. is that right? has anyone installed these ibach springs. i am having trouble compressing the spring enough to get it to go back in.

i got everything ok but the drive shaft. i undid the 4 bolts and went on to do the other things. when i tried to take off the spring it will not come down far enough to fit under the wheel well edge. the driveshaft is not coming apart. it is like the bolts are still there. should that not just come apart. is there something inside that i have to worry about. how do you get it to come apart. it is soooo close but i cant get it off.

it does not look like the spindle is going to move at all. so i compress the spring then what? do i have to unbolt the driveshaft flange? or can i just go an disconnect the top bolts in the luggage area?

i have got the brake line now. on the next problem. it says to take out the spindle. how do you do that? how hard can i hit it? there is a bolt that they say to take out but it looks like a nut not a bolt. how do i get that bolt out of there?

thanks guys i am still having trouble disconnecting the brake line. it is seased. and i dont want to strip the nut anymore than it allready is.

and is there a way of doing it so that i dont have to disconect the brake line? i dont want to have to bleed the brakes if i dont have to.

how do you get the gland nut off? i think thats where i might have trouble.

well i have read the chiltons manual on taling out the springs on my 71 240z. it sound easy until you get the strut out. i have new springs to put in. it says the special tools are neded and should be done by a mechanic. what tools do i need? should i even bother trying it myself. should i just take it in to the shop.? has anyone done this and know how to do it? tks

yes i have seen those but it does not show where the wires go to the fuse box. when you turn the light switch to the first setting, does that not turn on the running lights? because on the next position the head lights come on. is there a separation like that or do the running lights come on at the sametime as the head lights?

maybe you guys dont know those questions. well then does anyone know where the wires travel along the car. i was going to put my own wire in, i took off the cover on the steering colom . with a light tester, i could only find a wire that got power when i turned on the lights. i could not find a wire that came on when i turned on the running lights. could it be the switch then?

i have 1971 240. i have a burnt out fuse in the box. the connectors that hold the fuse is not there. can that fuse be my problem? Can anyone tell me what fuse is used with the driving lights? my headlights , brake, and signal lights work. i have it at the shop but they do not seem to know what they are doing. i dont know where elso to take it. it is at a nissan dealership, but they have not seen one of these in a long time. they dont even have a shop manual. any help would be great.

found this car in winnipeg. they are selling for parts. they say motor is good and body bad. i want to put the driveline in my 71 240z. how much should i buy the car for? anything else i should look out for on this car? 82 nissan zx turbo.

:disappoin well i broke my collar bone yesterday. i am typing with one arm. i cant drive my z 4 6 weeks. and i just bought a house today, and i cant work to pay for it. i just have to find away to do it. i wont be here much, so thanks for your help and i will talk to you later j
