You're taking about some 'movers and shakers' there! Definately cars that had a notable impact on the industry. Not every car on GRM's list falls into that catagory. Everyone has their own take on automotive history. I was a teen in the 60s, so mine would be a little different from yours. It's not possible to do a list of the 5 'best' or even the 25 'best' cars ever without lots of disagreement and discussion. Oh, and I'm not sure I would say that Saturn failed as much as they got caught up in GM's numbers game and ultimately became part of the 'fat' the had to be trimmed. I still don't understand keeping Buick and dumping Saturn. Whats being made as Buicks could have easily been Chevrolets.

I believe that's true but it's somewhat misleading. The Z31 a full 6 year run. The Z32 actually had a longer run but production (and sales) dropped each year. I had a 1985 Z31. I only paid $700 for it in 1998, drove the hell out of it, and sold it to a kid for $1000 in 2000. I also though it was, as Arne said, singularly uninspiring.

But......

Since this is GRM's list it would be skewed toward the type of vehicle they deal with. Having the Camaro and Mustang on their list kind of surprises me, even the Corvette to some extent since they are 'American' cars as they tend to be tough on the American manufacturers. But, as Russ touched on, they really aren't consistent at what they choose to call the 'best' as it seems to change from list to list. Escort? People bought those becuse they were cheap. Not all that prolific, really. It was the Pinto's successor after the Fiesta failed to fill that niche for Ford.

I've been there a few times. They're on Painter Ave. right up the street from the Ralph's I worked at before I retired 7 years ago. I did/do my own work on my cars so I only went in there to talk Z's with them. They seemed very knowlegable. It's good to see that they are still in business after all these years the way that things are going. The Ralph's I worked at Telegraph and Painter closed about 4 years ago.

Not the dead horse again:). I have reused a space saver. It can be deflated and later reinflated. I've done it a couple of times with the 78 I had, once with the can of air and once with a compressor.

Don't know if there's really any difference. Bondo is basically two types of plastic, silica, and glass microspheres. Fiberglass is basically the same thing.....plastic filler.

My 810 once developed the same sympoms. I ended up being the connector on the water temperature sensor. It was cracked and the wire clip wasn't holding it solidly in place.

I also wondered about that patch. IIRC, on the real BRE cars (and Ron Carter's car) there's no patch. The exhaust opening is left untouched.

mr.inline6er, you're missing the point. It's a BRE 'styled' or a BRE 'tribute' car. I don't care much for either term but that's what they call them. No one is even remotely trying to pass them off as real BRE cars. The motor et. al. looks stock becaue it is.

Great idea. Though I never really though of it this way, this is pretty much what I've been doing for the last 6 years or so. Trading parts, giving away parts for postage or even free including postage. The only time I sell parts is when I have too much in them to give them away. I'll look around and see what I can come up with.

Must be a fairly old one. Mine shows the call letters automatically on stations that have that system which is most of them now, at least out here.

That's what I was thinking. I'm not a fan of the BRE livery except for Ron Carter's cars. On a street car it doesn't add anything to the value IMO.
