how to replace fuel injector hose?
ACE Hardware sells it. And it's only $1.99/ft. compared to the higher prices the chain auto parts stores charge. I get a 25% employee discount but I used to buy it from them before I was an employee. The ACE number is 4090437 and the manufactures code is RFKF. It is made by Anderson Barrows Corp. and is rated to 250psi. Not really mystical at all actually.

Rear Bumper Rechrome
Now, if he sells 29th and later on 28th turns up, just think of the opportunity you will have missed. :devious:

Useless information. Of interest to some.
If I recall them in the correct order they are gluttony, sloth, envy, wrath, pride, lust, and greed. That's from the movie 'Seven' and actually they are sins rather than vices but there's alot of all of them throughout the world. (Sorry about that but remember the name of the thread :classic: )

Is 'fear' a vice?

how to replace fuel injector hose?
FALSE! I wouldn't use anything except 250psi fuel injection hose on any fuel line on these cars unless you like replacing ruptured fuel lines. Fuel pressure on carb cars-about 4 psi, fuel pressure on EFI cars-about 40 psi. 'Normal' fuel lne is rated at 40 to 50 psi depending on where you get it.

Anyone ever order from nismoparts.com?
I think the sell Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Subaru parts as well as Nissan. Each seems to have its own site. I've never had any type of problem with them.

Carbon parts (post suggestions)
Okay, you spoke your mind, Ron spoke his. At some point is this thread going to head back in it's original direction?

Anyone ever order from nismoparts.com?
I have dealt with them in the past with no problems. They don't have everything but you can email them in advance to ask if a particular part is available through them. They did have the center caps for my Datsun 810 factory alloy wheels so they can get some parts that Nissan has told me are NLA.

Installed new plugs and wires! car ideling LOW and not running right!
Yes, the B6ES-11 is correct for the EFI cars. The BP6ES (P is for projected tip) is for the carb cars according to everything I've ever read.

Question regarding carbs. Should I or should I not?
I'm not sure of the origin of the flat tops that I had on my 510. That was nearly 30 years ago but I do remember that my friend and I installed them. He set them up and tuned them and I maintained them. As far as the EFI goes, I have a big enough stash of the parts I need to keep both cars going for quite a while.

Getting Old?
I was 19 when I had my frist Z and 22 when I got the next one. I bought my third and present Z when I was 46! My first two Zs spent a lot of time sideways and near the redline! The third Z is a comfortable, good running car that has air conditioning and is fast enough for me at this stage of my life (54). I can drive it hard when I want to but I don't get that urge nearly as often as I did in my early 20s. There is also an added bonus: Nowdays, the only time I see the inside of a court building is when I get summonsed to jury duty!

Question regarding carbs. Should I or should I not?
In my experience, I wouldn't say that carbs are easier to maintain than EFI. I have spent many years reading, lots of trial and error, but I've reached the point where I feel I can handle any problem that could develop in the EFI system. As far as carbs, I don't have extensive experience but some. Believe it or not, I probably know more about flat tops than round tops. I had flat tops on my 510 and with the help of a long time friend and Z mechanic, became fairly proficient at tuning them. That's why I feel that they are no worse than the round tops. That's a rather unpopular viewpoint here so I won't elaborate on that topic! As far as carbs vs. EFI, I guess it really comes down to what you want to do with the car. If I was to build the 'ultimate L6' it would probably have triple Mikunis or Webers. But the turbo guys would most likely debate that.

I used to be a 'Bubba' back when I played high school football. There weren't even any Zs yet back then!

noisy electric fuel pump
I wonder if it would be worth anything to the 510/Bluebird crowd?

noisy electric fuel pump
Well, I just looked at the microfiche and a Z pump is different. Oh, well, I tried!

noisy electric fuel pump
d***, I have a mechanical fuel pump if you're interested. It's brand new in that it's never been installed on a car but I've had it laying around amongst my parts for so long I don't even remember where I got it from. It was made by Kyosan Denki Co., Ltd. It's in the box still wrapped in plastic and has three gaskets and a little info sheet printed in Japaneese and English. It is, however for a four cyl. The box says 'NISSAN BLUE BIRD 510 BLUE BIRD NEW" and it's part number is NP-456. Is there a difference between the 4 cyl and the 6 cyl fuel pump? If this is something you can use let me know.

Toyota 2000GT interest
Alfadog, I said that my rant was 'tongue-in-cheek' including the 'American bashing' comment. I didn't take it as snide. I was merely implying that by discussing whether or not this whole thread was 'off topic' we were getting more and more off topic. All I wanted to do was view more museum pictures.

3.0L stroker
Nustad: S.U.s, including flat tops (don't shoot me!), can be worked to flow nearly as well as any of the twin-choke carbs. Webers and Mikunis are nice but I'm an old-schooler who's had both on several different applications and I just have an affinity towards the S.U. (both types) Greatwhite: Velocity stacks will make the carbs flow a little better.

Toyota 2000GT interest
Not controversy really, just opinion. Let's talk cars instead of getting even more 'off topic' by wondering if it's 'off topic.' Look at how much time has already been spent on that. It's nice to know who designed them but it's really of no use now except for the historical aspect which has been discussed to death.

Toyota 2000GT interest
I wasn't referring to Goertz. That was just part of my rant (tongue-in-cheek) and it was in response to Alfadog's comment My only point was that I can enjoy these cars and reading about them without worrying about whether or not it's an on topic subject or who they were designed by.

Toyota 2000GT interest
HERE WE GO! (again) Besides, Alan has already said it. But I gues it wouln't be CZCC if we didn't open up topics that have already been discussed to death and discuss them again. So where are we now in this Toyota thread? Off topic? In which direction? The Goertz myth? American bashing? I would really just rather look at pictures of the cars. I'm done!

Toyota 2000GT interest
Whatever! If this site can't even seem to agree that Skylines, 810s, ZXs, etc. are on topic then why worry about a Toyota. Just post it. No need to spend time discussing whether or not it's on topic. Especially when the logic is based on material that is questionable at best.
