Finally Taking the Plunge - EFI
Point taken. I wouldn't expect it to be as accurate as a flywheel reading. I guess I'll see....

Finally Taking the Plunge - EFI
Really? Wouldn't that make the 123 Ignition distributor unreliable too? If there is so much slop in the oil / distributor shaft why does the 123 work as well as it does? Exactly how much variation would you actually see in a CAS in the dizzy hole under load? I was impressed with the tuning results from the One Six Industries CAS in testimonials and the video they made. Here's hoping I didn't throw $400 away...

Finally Taking the Plunge - EFI
Wait a second... what’s going on in the distributor hole? Is that a homemade crank angle sensor? ... but yeah! Loving the EFI setup!!

I also added a fuel pressure monitoring circuit to the return fuel line on the recommendation of my Z Car Club. The Haltech can monitor the pressure and shut down the timing if the fuel pressure drops below a preset. Cool! This along with two liquid pressure gauges in the engine bay should keep me well informed.

The 76 filler tube is steel at the top and a steel breather tube. You have a 240 style filler neck.- 1976 280Z Restoration Project

That project died a quiet death. I contacted him in the beginning and got a little hope it would come to life, but eventually it just faded. I think the fact that there are so m any excellent pro options out there killed it. Haltech is NOT CHEAP but it is extremely well built and well supported.- Stroker 3.1.jpg

I believe he meant that "non-EGR" was better and valuable, but still not worth 5K... that's what I got out of it anyways...- 1976 280Z Restoration Project
The Haltech is so configurable and definable for inputs that it leaves me with these great opportunities to tune and refine the entire combustion process! I am really excited to get all the sensors installed and reporting to the ECU in order to max out the potential of this motor. Good news is, a certain influential someone who sold me this motor just got HIS Haltech system working with a similar setup, so that is very encouraging!!- Calling on all L-series engine experts.
Big ole lumpy cam and a tweaked motor paired with fuel injection AND a modern ECU makes a pretty sweet motor! FI is great as long as you update the electronics with a Haltech or similar system. .... just sayin’.... [emoji6]- 1976 280Z Restoration Project

I believe the necks are indeed different. However, you are holding a unicorn in your hands if you have a good 75/76 EFI fuel tank! They are very rare and you should be able to resell that very easily for anyone looking for a full size tank- Inner tie rod length?
